Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

Jesus, some of the posts on here are so laughable. Soldo or HRS for a second rounder? In yer dreams, 4th round pick at best for either. And trading out Balta or Bolton to get a first rounder, I mean, seriously?
Just go to the draft with what we have, we got Hopper and Taranto, and we get Lynch back next year. Unless we can pull off a miracle trade, I just cannot see us trading back into round 1.

To be clear, I wasn't suggesting we trade Balta or Bolton, Richmond would be nuts to do that barring offers we couldn't refuse. I was saying these are the type of players Gold Coast need to go after at this stage. Not specifically from our club, but they will want established players who can make a difference to their ability to win finals rather than extra top 10 draft picks. I was only submitting Balta and Bolton as examples of the type and level of players the Suns are most likely to want to target.

Soldo would be worth more than a 4th rounder whatever happens this week, but if he does a decent job v Gawn his stocks would really rise. There are clubs who would likely be very keen on a ruck around his salary point, Swans, Port, Cats three obvious examples. We should be trying to keep him imo, he is a valuable part of the club.

Ralphsmith I am with you, I don't think he would have much trade value. Maybe a pick in the 40's if a club is keen on that type of player specifically. I can't think of an obvious club who might be keen on him though.

Jack Silvagni is he an option? Seems like he is out of favour and if he his knee isn't as bad and can get it right in the preseason should we float a second-rounder and a future second?
Do you remember the Yarran trade?

You're wrong.

Brayden ****ing Preuss was traded for pick 31 and Soldo is and always has been much better than him. Soldo is a premiership ruckman in his prime amd is the best backup ruck in the league. He would get a late 2nd at worst for sure.

We got a 3rd for Markov, we'd get better for Ralphsmith.

Witts will be 31 to start 2024. Suns could plausibly see Ryan as a possible long term successor who can play forward usefully in the meantime. He could easily be a key piece of succession planning for them.

Would leave us without a young first ruck but we would likely have time to sort that out with Nankervis and Soldo plenty of mileage remaining on the clock.

He is a potentially quite valuable player Ryan, so his presence in a deal would give a decent boost to any bid we make for the Suns first round pick, without placing pressure on their delicately poised salary cap.
Gold Coast have Casboult playing regularly as back up ruck. He's 34. Probably out of the picture before Witts. Already got King & Lukosius as KPF. Chol as depth.
Suns want to look after their salary? Play Casbault again next year. Cheaper than bringing in a player.

Don't GCS have highly a rated ruck and a highly rated KPF in their academy? Obviously probably not ready in 24. Plus another young kid. They need draft points don't they?
Suns have picks 5, 25, 31, 43, 44, 56, 61, 62, 69 I can't see them getting rid of any of them. Maybe upgrade our first pick slightly? We may as well draft a KPF.

I don't see bringing Ryan in is part of their plan. He's more use to us.

Brody Grundy would take that spot as the best back up

Queenslanders returning back to Queensland is good for marketing, like when Weller returned. Hollands and GC first thanks!

Weller lol. What a GC tease. TBH you stick him and Sonsie in a line up how would you tell the difference

We'd be lucky to get a 3rd for Ralphsmith.
Drafted in the 3rd rnd
Hasn't improved

Disagree. He's shown he can play wing/half back at afl level and has a high ceiling.
He doesn't have a high ceiling at all. He hasn't fixed any of the flaws he had when drafted.

If no one wants him I would delist him. List clogger.

Might be controversial, but I would give a future first for Tarryn Thomas.

He's only a couple of cm shorter than Georgiades and would be a far more damaging forward who can also run through the midfield.

Hes fast, has a good tank, good height, good mark, versatile, kicks goals. Kicking isn't great but neither is Ed langdons or Hugh Mccluggage....or kamdyn McIntosh or marlion picketts etc etc.
if he had a high ceiling he'd probably be entrenched in our 22 not on the fringe.
Not really. McIntosh and Pickett get gifted games most weeks. He never really gets a run on the wing or forward. Its always half back which I don't think he's best suited to.
Can't hit a target.
As shown in the last 2 drafts.Footskills is a priority.
If it were a priority in our side McIntosh wouldn't play every week.
Banks has gone past him already because he can provide the same line breaking run, whilst actually being able to kick a football.
He might, he hasn't yet. Ross will be a midfielder eventually IMO. We need 2 wingers.

Yuck. First rounder? No way. Guys a ****ing idiot.

Do any of you kind folk,,have any worthwhile suggestions
On how we might do a deal to get the gold coast first pick
David King reckoned North should trade T Thomas to Gold Coast (why would they want him?) for their pick 5 (good luck).

Why, Kingy, would they trade it for a (dysfunctional) player when they need picks?
