Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

How lucky can you get draft a guy in the second round and then pick up a top three pick as compo

The Roos are now set to receive a Round One compensation pick for losing McKay, which currently sits at pick No. 3.

The 25-year-old played 19 games for the Roos in 2023 and featured 71 times in the blue and white stripes since being drafted with pick No. 21 in the 2015 Draft.

Would at least be competition for JGTI. I've said a few times I like Billings and we need some foots kills. Would cost little in a trade. A potential issue is that he'd probably stall the development of Judson Clarke.
Isn’t Judson a small fwd? I agree, competition for Graham and Ross on the wings. What about putting a package of second rounders (incl. future) and Ralphsmith together to get Billings and St Kilda’s pick 12 and tie it into the Koschitzke deal? Hugo’s dad played at both clubs so would mean as much to him either way. Also, is McIntosh to Freo or the Eagles a possibility for a third rounder?

Not really, he's being groomed for the Lambert high half forward role AKA Billings best position.

Doubt Saints still have interest in Ralphsmith now that they're getting Liam Henry.

Kmac to Freo might be an ok move for them given they keep losing players, getting someone heading home to them may be seen as a win, especially if it only costs them a 4th rounder (or future 4th).

What are we going to do with a 4th rounder? By the time all the priority picks and the like are factored in it will be a pick around the 70s.

At least try for Eagles pick 42.

Trade Radio spoke to all but two clubs yesterday when they all went to AFL House for preliminary discussions.

I am relatively certain we were one of the two.

I'm not sure what we do with it, but I doubt we get 42 for Kmac to be honest.

I would rather have his spot on the list free, and if we get a shitty 4th rounder, maybe we can bundle it up to someone who needs points this year or next to improve our position elsewhere.

Looking more and more likely Port will have the capital to make a Soldo trade happen

Ancient history? the draft picks we traded haven't even been used yet :joycat: And im pretty positive I didn't actually bring this up - you did you demented munter. As i literally just wrote, i was talking about our overall prospect for 2024 vs 2023. Why you yellin at me about Hopper?

season 13 GIF
I 100% guarantee you that if we kept our 2023 1st rounder this year we would have had access to someone better than Hopper. I find it hard to believe that out the 100+ kids on offer this year that there wont be 6 players better than him, overall. I'm not even sure if Hopper makes the top 30 midfielders in the league, or even 50 based on this season. We gave up pick 6 + pick 31 for him - there will definitely be players available in this draft & likely even some taken 31 and after in 2022 that will end up better than him.
Here is what I responded to, you clearly didn’t want the club to get Hopper. What those picks are used for now is irrelevant as even if they turn out to be champions there is no guarantee we would of picked the same players and they will change anyway. Be honest, will all your ranting and raving change anything?? Of course it won’t so give us all a rest and become a supporter of what we have got.

Kamdyn has premiership experience and at least a three year contract left in him. Would provide leadership, toughness and his trademark hard running - surely worth a pick in the 40s. Would suit Dockers best imo given their proximity to finals contention. They have 45.

And there will DEFINITELY be players available in this draft at 6 that won't be better than him.

Tiger71 and Grockadoc trade update from the podcast.
Remember - This is all speculation, but as you know there is a level of reliability here. However, this shouldn't be treated as gospel as circumstances change.

T71 Update
  • Dustin Martin is staying (obviously) and will likely spread the money of his final year over an extra two years. Has no intention of leaving.
  • Ben King (free agency, next off-season) - with Dimma now being at the helm of GCS it changes things as Dimma was a big influence in talks with King. However, its definitely not dead in the water, just less likely than the 80% likelihood that was touted a year ago. There's a contract in front of him at the Suns which he still hasn't signed and its likely going to come down to how Gold Coast performs under Hardwick next year. We have a back-up plan which is Cadman from GWS who is apparently a big Tiger head. Cadman was confirmed by both Grock and T71 (correct me if im wrong).
  • Ginnivan - T71 hasn't heard anything. Just rumour.
  • Harmes - T71 hasn't heard anything. Just seems to be a loose connection due to Yze being the new coach.
  • We do have some interest in two of Melbourne's VFL (Casey) kids and kids from Williamstown. T71 couldn't remember the names and will let us know in due course.
  • Kozi - won't be an issue, we will get him and it won't be for a second round pick.
  • Soldo - 50/50 on whether he will stay or go. We won't be giving him away. Port are going hard for him. We could bundle another player in (example provided was Graham) in order to prise a better pick/player from Port.
  • Moneyball approach this year, but big target hunting next year.
  • Biggie going to North (we knew this already)
Grock update
  • We are looking at loading up through Free Agency next year.
  • Zurhaar, McGrath, McCluggage are players we are looking at. T71 was able to confirm that he has also heard McCluggage's name but not the other two. (Also seemed particularly displeased at the idea of McGrath lol)
  • Reiterated the Cadman interest. Who is still uncontracted and apparently wants to come home to Victoria.
  • It's going to be either King or Cadman, not both.

Averages 10 games a season. On 800k and on the games played average a year he makes 80k a game. Good work if you can get it.

Went 21 in his draft year. But somehow worth pick 3 now. WTAF.

I see the case we can make for it, I just don't think they pay it. so their next is 63 I assume. Take it and run IMO.
Then try and bundle that up, with our other fourth, or even our 3rd, to get a pick in the late 2nd round early 3rd round...

If it was taking unders, or standing our ground with Kmac, I'm taking unders.

CADMAN please.
That's it... I would like Zurhaar (but after the shit he gave JHF I doubt he leaves North) and McCluggage, but I reckon both would cost too much to pry them out of their existing clubs.

If we're honest with ourselves Kmac wouldn't get picked up as a delisted player let alone traded for by any AFL team. Best is well behind him and his leadership won't have much of an impact from the WAFL. Imagine if Kmac was on another team and we traded pick 40 for him. This place would go Chernobyl.

Imagine Cadman and McCluggage....lovely i would wait patiently for them.
Have paid zero attention to Cadman, anyone know how he's tracking? Is he looking like the next big power forward or Tom Boyd?

His stats are... statistical

Cadman hasn't been great.
I have a feeling he might be more durable than King though.
It's tough to make a call on which one I'd prefer long term.
Probably Cadman if I had a gun to my head.

Okay so why have we held onto him for so long then? Coaches’ blind spots? God help me 😩
