Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

Hipwood hasn't taken the step from being an opportunistic, out the back forward (a bit like Josh Jenkins).

JUH is already playing much differently, taking steps to be a power forward. He will get much bigger.

there's no comparison.
I feel like I have watched a bit of hipwood over the years. Daniher is the out of the back cheap goals type ..not really him.
We used to play Broad on hin cos he's mobile. Can kick a ways too.

Sadly it was Balta he had a night out against. 2 or 3 Marks in front of Balta.

Lynch transition is a bit tricky. If Lynch stays on the park for his contact years then Kosi, Gibcus,, Fawcett will be enough.

No place for JUH.

I think we could find a spot for JUH, you never knock back a player with that sort of talent.

To be fair it's still early days for JUH in his career as a forward...
But I do get the impression, from watching his games on TV, that currently he is a good, not yet a very good, second key forward.
Just needs to be surrounded by forwards for JUH to get off the defenders leash and be favoured by the umpires call to perform!
Has shown improvement in his craft!
Confidence is a big issue, like all forwards, but it's still hard to predict JUH's football career trajectory...but he is certainly no Buddy or JR8 yet!
Jumarra is 197cm 91 kgs and is 5-6 kgs short (muscle) of being that brute foward
and he is just 21 years old

I would very very Happily throw $10 mil over 10 years at him next year
Its only $150k more than what Jack was on 10 years ago

That’s going back to the bad old days! Not only would he cost a bomb financially, but they’d demand all our decent picks to get him across.
Big no from me as I’d rather we save the cap space, and use all of our high end draft picks, that I reckon we will target from clubs having FS and academy players, to replenish the list properly. Selling the farm for one player is madness, it’s just a sugar hit and we need to look at the big picture. No guarantees players we select will be stars, but I’d much rather grow our own and go down that path. Selling it all for one player is short sighted.

With nearly 20 clubs in the comp, the chance to get as a decent KPF in the draft is very slim.

Worth 2 first rounders and 10M @ 10 years

One serious injury away from being a bad trade.

Better to take our picks to the draft and minimise our risk across multiple players.

Dusty money is available. He's playing quite well, deserves 700 800.

We could afford JUH but its Lynch watch really next year.

It doesn't feel like he'll play beyond his contact. Will yze use 3 KPF? That'd be great.

But Kosi only 3 years and can play KPD too.

IF Lynch stays fit and game plan kicks in quick. Then the current second or third KPF will be a success

It should translate ro wins. The list is okay.
Enough mids and defender.
Enough small fwds.

We go backwards? I'd imagine they trade out heavily for a rebuild.

JUH will get snapped up, there's always demand for KPF.

He will wait until mid next year you'd reckon to really start thinking about his new club.

From what I’ve seen he’s a bit timid to be one of the great KPF’s … Is he the next ‘big thing’, or the next Eric Hipwood?

JUH 2023 averages v Eric Hipwood season 3 (2018) averages:

Disposals: 11.3 v 10.6
Marks: 5.2 v 4.2
Goals: 1.5 v 1.7
GA’s: 0.6 v 0.6
CM: 1.4 v 0.8
SI’s: 6.1 v 5.0
Mts : 205m v 220m
I50’s: 2.5 v 2.9
Tackles: 1.0 v 1.1

I thought at 203cm Hipwood was going to be anything .. and he’s developed into a mediocre tall forward. They are similar builds and play similar games, with very little ‘crashing’ of packs and maybe a little too one dimensional.

I’d love JUH at Richmond as he’s what we need. But I’d like to see one more season before handing out any sort of godfather offer.

Wouldn't be our type if Dimma was still with us.
Who knows under yze.

Draftees are not immune too long-term injuries. Look at Gibcus.
Big contract is obviously the difference but on field the risk is the same

Why are we even discussing JUH coming to Richmond?

We are zero chance of getting him, he’s locked and loaded for Buddy’s locker in Sydney
That’s my bet too , swans used the Trojan horse last year forcing a 10m naughton deal knowing juh is the one they want

Target Marshall from Port if we're looking for another ready made KPF and take our picks to the draft and replenish the midfield stocks with more top end talent.

If we're looking to draft and develop our own KPF, then get ourselves the best possible picks we can for the draft and target the best available KPF in the draft, and maybe look at a potential free agent to add to our midfield.

We are in the window imo

We have a good defence with Balta , Young , Vlastuin , Short , Rioli , Gibcus , Brown and backups in Miller, Tresize , etc

Midfield : Hopper , Prestia , Bolton , Martin , Taranto , Graham , Sonsie and some younger talent coming through

Rucks : Nankervis , Ryan , Naismith and other part times to run through

Foward : Lynch , Kosi , Bauer ------------ We are missing that 2nd/3rd player that can tear the game apart

Small Foward : This are is what we have question marks on but we have so much unknown/under developed potential
Cumberland , Clarke , Coulthard , MRioli , Campbell , Smith , Green

60 Goals from a JUH is the missing piece that could snag the next flag

Agree with some of what you said but I think our midfield needs some work and future proofing, and the ‘24 draft can potentially achieve that.
It’s said to be a particularly strong draft for mids so personally, I’d be trading some of our picks to get higher up the order to achieve that outcome.

In the last 30 years we have drafted two champion kpf’s. Jack Riewoldt and Matthew Richardson. Actually make that 1 kpf because Richardson was a father/son. When you think about how many first round picks we have wasted then 2 first round picks for JUH would be a bargain

I think our recruiting team will do the right thing and make a play.
JUH is loyal , but will want equitable treatment from the dogs (as per Naughton).
A big chance to move.

isnt he mates with mrj? mrj could put in a good word for the club before he gets delisted

The Majic beans theory haa

Mids are easy to get but Top A grade KPF not so easy
