Gale (I think), and now Jon Ralph, have said that it is extremely unlikely that we pay Dusty to play somewhere else next year

Either Suns sign him on a longer contract to spread the money out, or they trade out someone who is eating up a portion of their salary cap. King is the only one I know of (think he's on about $750k - $800k), and I assume Anderson is on something similar, which is why I raise those two players specifically.

There's only one sort of player Dimma would trade for with this plethora of players at Gold Coast.... A genuine finals match winner.

Dimma will have absolutely ZERO interest in and fringe/role player at any club, not just Richmond.

If Dusty wants to leave, then the games begin, if not, it will be a very short conversation with our club officials.

Dimma's game plans have involved sacrificing your game and running patterns to take your player away from the ball. Would actually be surprised if he doesn't go after Jack Graham and others, and with no first round pick we should listen if Pick 4 and players with speed and footskills are coming back the other way is in that conversation

Proceeds to name a bunch of older players who were all taken as free agents.

The Gunston move was a token trade so Brisbane wouldn't dilute their free agency compo for McStay.

Why would pick 4 be in the conversation for Graham? That's what you should be calling a "load of crap".

Not sure why you would compare Rowell to Dusty ? Very different roles and players

If i was Dimma and believe that GC will be making finals the next 3-4 years then Dusty is a weapon he wants in his pocket in finals
Vlastuin - He has Ballard doing that job
Rioli is a gun but wont leave and richmond wont let him leave
Graham - He doesnt need

Dusty is a finals match winner. If I was GC I'd pay up and get him and then play him 15ish games a year and unleash him in finals. I think he is important to them winning a flag so I'd ask for theirnfirstbroundrr and hollands

Granted Hardwick has standards, but they’re getting Dusty. With his current form, Gold Coast can be contenders as soon as next year. So they better pay up.

It’s like we’re playing with cement boots in this competition. All our talent has to come from the open draft or the trade table/free agency. Others get a bloodline/academy boost.

That surprises me if true because as hard as Richmond fans we're on Castagna it was Dimma dropping at the end that caused his retirement he knew he was no longer in the best team.
