Use it to move money to Taranto and Hopper early so we have some play money later. Bring in more kids and develop them with the ones we have next year and the year after. Then when Grimes, Vlaus and a few other vets move on, go hunting for elite talent.

Tom Morris needs to work out which angle he is going with and stick to it.

There will more clubs than just the Suns after Dusty next season if doesn't re-sign with Richmond he comes out as an unrestricted free agent.
So from GCS perspective if they truely do want him they need to make a move for him this trade period & pay up.

Also if the Suns wait it out another season & have another poor year, there is no way Dusty is going to go there.

To be fair we had just ****ed them up in the 17 granny. They couldn’t think straight after what we did to them

But Ablett could be comparable to Dusty, and he want to Geelong for pick 19 and a 2nd rounder with Ablett Pick 24 and another 4th coming back

It’s always difficult using other trades as a baseline for value because for every example another example exists that is different

Have been thinking the same, but they can offer next years 1st round pick plus a player.
Would consider that.
We could then death ride Dimmas first season at GC even more!!

Dusty is a finals match winner. If I was GC I'd pay up and get him and then play him 15ish games a year and unleash him in finals. I think he is important to them winning a flag so I'd ask for theirnfirstbroundrr and hollands

Dimma mentioned in his presser that GC have 80% of a premiership team already at the suns
Now if that is correct and dimma 100% believes this to be the case then just think about it

Would Dimma want GC to be playing finals the next 3-4 years with or without Dusty in that team ?
If GC made the GF would Dimma want Dusty at the club ?

100% he would , GC have talkent coming out of their 4sses and more kids than what they need and wont keep all of them in 2 years time
#4 & Hollands is nothing for GC with what they already have on their list

But a Dustin Martin playing finals from 2024 -2027 is priceless for the gold coast
and im sure for a trade like that Richmond would be open to covering half of Dusty's salary in 2024

Just having a bet each way like all of them re Dusty

Wish these campaigners would just report actual news or use sources and research instead of hedging bets and working in what ifs

It’s interesting that part of selling the idea to get hopper to come to Richmond was to guarantee him that dusty would see out his last 2 years of his contract at Richmond …. He might not take too kindly if dusty did leave at the end of this year …. Who knows what will happen though
