Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

Georgiadis may unfortunately land at the Dees as part of the Grundy to Port Adelaide deal.

Dees love Mitch.

Thats a complicated deal to get done
Grundy wants to stay in melbourne and could have moved to Crows or Port last year but wanted to stay in melbourne
Pies topping up may not continue and melbourne wont want to put up more cash to cover Grundy's salary
Georgiadis is uncontracted and will have the option to chose where he goes which also complicates the trade

Interesting GWS can't afford to keep losing talent but at the same time you would think they are paying massive overs again to keep him, considering the offers he'd be getting.
Well it looks like HH is a lock down back with Sam Taylor.
Haynes probably retiring 24. Leaves a good mix of young Cadman plus, Riccardi and Hogan up fwd.

Two star KPF are a luxury these days with the tight salary cap. A player like Jack Silvagni from the blues world be a good option. Not a star but makes a genuine contest which would suit our chaos style

Referring to the bolded, you can say that again.

If we wanted a Silvagni type we could have kept Towner. What does Silvagni give us that say Miller doesn't? Miller is taller, faster, and almost 2 years younger than Silvagni. All Silvagni gives you that Miller doesn't is a pained look on his face every time he is on camera.

Had high hopes for Miller,But he lacks intensity.

Trouble is he has 3 generations of Carltoon in him. It would probably take 3 pre-seasons, one to reverse the effects of each generation. ;)
Plus a further few with his old man involved . Lol

I think Miller could be a good lead and mark type forward but I don’t think he will become a crash the pack type forward. I don’t think he judges the flight of the ball quick enough

Silvagji is a far better player than miller

Silvagji is a far better player than miller

Judging by Silvagni's career figures he is not a far better player than anyone who is getting a game at AFL level. He is a mediocre AFL footballer at best, who will turn 26 later this year. I just don't see him as someone we should be targetting to recruit to our club at any price. He is an ok ish bits and pieces player, but we need a key forward and he is not a key forward's posterial orifice.

Miller is by miles a better ruck, already taking as many contested marks and this should only improve where Silvagni has likely peaked. Silvagni's best goals + goal assists in a match is 4, which he has done 3 times in over 100 games, the vast majority of which have been as a forward. Miller has multiple goals + assists in 6 of his 22 full games, despite being deployed all over the field.

Miller is taller, and faster and has decent skills. If it came down to Silvagni or Miller to play mainly tall forward but also go back at times or in the ruck, I am more than happy to stick with Miller and back his greater upside.

Buddy apparently wants to play on next year …. Do we give him a one year deal as a stop gap forward next year to give us more time for a long term replacement?
