Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Still think we should be looking at Lachie Gollant from Adelaide. Can't get past Tex, Fogarty and Thilthorpe at the moment which is no surprise. Kicked the lazy 6 in the SANFL this week. Effort definitely isn't his downfall. Good hands, good lead, good kick. Only 21 years
Im going to compare 2 players with just 2024 season in mind

Its looking very likely that Thomson Dow just has too many deficiencies and will be lucky very lucky to be on the rochmond list in 2024 and with another season like 2023 has no chance to be on our list unless he does something so spectacular and breaks out with a massive year next year.

With that in mind which player offers Richmond more in 2024 as a backup
Thomson Dow or Jack Riewoldt
I think comparing Dow to Cotchin this year would be better If we had given Thompson Dow 70% midfield time in 18 games maybe he would be getting similar numbers to Cotchin. Look what happened to Ross when he got game time in the middle. We will never know but to me Cotchin’s number suggest that he is in serious decline and he should be the backup to Dow not the other way around

There will be an eventual squeeze of key position players at bulldogs in the next 3-4 years.

Lobb, 30, contracted to end of 2026
Ugle-Hagen, 21, contract to end of 2024
Sam Darcy, 20 contracted to end of 2025
Naughton, 23, contracted to end of 2024

They have English, Busslinger, Bruce, Jones, Jordan Sweet, Gardiner all over 195cm.
Also have access to Jordan Croft as a father and son this year who is a 200cm key forward who performed very well at national champs and will be bid on pretty early.

Well ideally we would replace jack with a good long term player …. But unfortunately there doeent seem to be many options at all atm ….. this is why I suggested a stop gap option for one year like buddy so it gives us time to find a long term replacement while still being competitive. Don’t think Bradke will be ready for a full season next year and while I like Bauer I’m not 100% sure if he’s a genuine kpf
Stop gap, older players probably for ruck. KPP's the cheap options are Sam Weideman types. Buddy probably is playing slightly better than Jack but McLean would be better. If Riccardi wants to move he's even better.

Our 4 retiring players probably free up cap space. And with Martin's big contract ending.

If we can't acquire draft picks in the main draft maybe use the preseason draft. Get a "Young" type.

Asked on the Adelaide board what they would expect to get for Gollant. The consensus was they would prefer to keep him but would probably be a late 2nd. Would comfortably give up a future 2nd for him

Lobb is shit, Bruce is cooked, Jones will be 33 next year, Sweet will likely leave this trade period, Gardiner is average.

None of their good tall players or prospects will be squeezed.

Afl.com.au reporting that there is interest in dylan stephens from the Swans.

He'd compliment Hopper and Taranto nicely in the middle.
I've had the campaigner in my dreamteam for probably 3 of the last 4 years so have watched him closely in the very few games he's been awarded.

Not much chop. He's a pass I reckon.

So you play Ugle Hagen, Naughton, Darcy, Croft, English in a game together?

I’m thinking one of these will be squeezed.

You seen Dow play AFL this year? May as well gift the oppo a 5 goal head start if we play him

Interest from us?
Didn't say

Yeah. English is a ruckman. Ugle-Hagen and Naughton forward, Darcy back and Croft in the reserves.
Remember a few of our supporters on various forums wanting Sweet the year he got drafted from the SANFL.
He dominates VFL. Someone will poach him.

Just caught that article suggesting Hugo is gettable wouldn’t surprise if we let him go as I see a few leap frogging him in banks brown nipper sonz and even Clarke ,,,what would he be worth thinking 35-45
Hugo is ready to explode. Years of development. Heart and soul player. M run all day. Definitely late teens!!

We have already met our delisting quota easily in my opinion.

Castagna
Tarrant
Cotchin
Jack

And you'd think Biggy is close to the edge.

As much as Jack and Cotchin are legends, I can't see them playing on next year, this was one last roll of the dice for Dimma.

Dow should be safe from a pure age profile perspective.

Bit disappointing he hasn’t been given maccas game time tbh we need to find opportunities for emerging talent or they’ll leave , the time was when dimma had the reigns and we were losing every week was non sensical to play the same bloody side

Could be a couple of players traded out to try and get in a <25 pic , think soldo or graham ,,,,soldos promising form has me thinking 25-30 pic is realistic

Come on man. Every club supporter base over rates the value of their own players, but 25-30 for Soldo? You’d tear down walls if we did that to trade him into our club.

Dow ain't gonna make it. I think the club knows this already and will delist him.

Biggy will be gone from the rookie list, and at least one of Young and Miller will have to be elevated to make room for Coulthard and Trezise on the rookie list.
