Re: Shaun Hampson and 2nd rnd pick for Taylor Walker ???

remind me what walker has done? Once he was removed from the crows forward line it dominated. If were going to waste hammer and a pick on something it had better be a CHF

Re: Daniel Stewart

stupid people

Do i get a medal for getting it right?

no.....but you can fill your ears with the sound of one hand clapping.

Take a bow.

Daniel Stewart

Height: 200 cm
Weight: 92 kilos
Birthdate: 10/10/1988

Stewart played 14 games for Eastern in the TAC Cup in 2006 but was overlooked in that year's draft so he spent the 2007 season playing in the AFLQ. Last season he moved to the SANFL and played with North Adelaide showing some positive signs both up forward and in the ruck. Stewart is a powerful unit who is a great contested mark and agile despite his size.

Kicked a few bags in the SANFL in the last few weeks, Took the ruck duties on because of an injury to the usual ruckman and really impressed.
Im pretty keen on this kid because there is nothing but upside from what I can see athletic, big etc what else could you want? Its no secret we need another forward but imagine having Daniel Stewart & Matthew Kruezer in the same team, both 200 cm, both can play ruck, both can play forward.

Stewarts only a rookie and he is actually originally from Melbourne just moved so he could improve his chances of getting drafted so I think our chances wouldnt be to bad plus we could work out some sort of package deal from all the rumours I have heard from the Powers trade table.

Shaun Hampson for Daniel Stewart+3rd Rounder ?

or

Shaun Hampson , Adam Hartlett & Jordan Russell for Daniel Stewart, Travis Boak & 3rd rounder?

Wouldnt mind hearing what Port supporters would want for Stewart.

Hey Troll, you want Carlton to trade a potential top 5 ruckman in the comp for a kid who couldn't get a game at a club that struggled in 2009.

Very laughable, how many times have you posted this on other team bords?? just with other players invloved??

Re: Shaun Hampson and 2nd rnd pick for Taylor Walker ???

You're an idiot.

If we suggested Setanta trading for a good player, the sand in CP's vagina would back up and choke him to death.

This is thought provoking, insightful, descriptive, somewhat painful I'd say...... and absolute GOLD :D:D

And my two cents worth ............ no deal.

Re: Richard Hadley could also return to the Gabba from Carlton....

dont want shelodon.dont rate him.
Agreed.

Sheldon did nothing for me with his game on the weekend.

Sheldon was a bottom ager like Gibbs, yet he's still a rake and looks like a kid.

I can see why Carlton went for Anderson and Benjamin ahead of Kenny's son if you take that into account.

Anderson and Benjamin had more upside and superior size.

No loss with a late pick.

Thank God we didn't commit to picking Sheldon instead of Austin with our third round pick in 2006.

Carlton would have had to use our third round pick in 2007 if Sheldon agreed to wait a year.

And passed on Steven Browne who starred in the U18 carnival for WA.

Amen.

Not sure why people rave about Sheldon.

Re: Daniel Stewart

I don't know why I bother some times. Reading posts on these forums is like reading a Dr. Seuss book but without the surreal images.

Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!

Re: Matthew Spangher

So you've got 11, 27 & 43 & we've got 7, 23 & 39 (I think).

A couple of potential trades:

1. Spangher + #23 for #11
2. Spangher for #27
3. Spangher + #39 for #27
4. Spangher for #43

I think the asking price would be roughly around where he was originally drafted (#34) which is nearly half way between your #27 & #39 picks. He's shown enough to prove he could make a career, but unlike Brown & MacKenzie doesn't yet look like he's destined to be a quality key position player. If I had to bet on one of the above for a trade getting done I'd put money on option 3. I can't see us trading him for anything beyond your #43 unless as there's no guarantee we'll use a pick beyond our #55 anyway.

That being said, I'm a huge Schofield fan and am impartial towards Spangher. If he desperately wants to return to Melbourne for family reasons or more opportunity I personally won't be too fussed if we let him go. I guess we'll wait and see if there are any other interested parties.

Well, there's "rave about" and then there's "would have been better than Benjamin or Anderson".

Agree about Austin though. More than happy to have him.

Re: Matthew Spangher

I know it will be harder to piece these together and catch up with these merged threads folks, but we don't want the front pages filled up with hypothetical trades for each player who is rumoured to leave.

Only the really big deals that the media have reported on should get their own thread.

Re: Shaun Hampson and 2nd rnd pick for Taylor Walker ???

I wouldn't do a straight swap of Hampson--> Walker.

Seriously C_P, there's always crap like this going around during silly season.

It's just sad that you're for real

Oh beg your pardon for trying to make an suggestion to get another key young foward to the club, one whom has kicked a bag or two several times throughout his career, to replace Fev ...

Are you aware that we are going okay for ruck stocks as it is now, but we're up Fudge Creek if Fev suddenly went down with an season-long injury next year ???

I swear some of the posters here are more 'narrow-minded' then the Mormons and Church of Scientology put together ...

I am so glad people like the The General aren't running this club, otherwise we'd be even more of a basketcase then Richmond.

FWIW I don't mind people for 'rejecting' my suggestions, it's just being needlessly insulted that pisses me off ...

It seems to me, that anyone who puts their balls on the line and makes an 'out of the box' suggestion, is automatically slagged off by the nuffies ..

Keep dreaming. His market value is around picks 70 to 104. He doesn't add anything to our list, so I doubt we'd even give you a late pick. Try Richmond - they ALWAYS overpay. Or even the Hawks who don't have any KP defenders. :)

I wouldn't mind taking a punt on Walker.
Cool down both of you. You are both as bad as each other.

There's 'out of the box' and then 'out of your bloody mind'.

Very rarely do you see a supporter make a laughable trade suggestion that is unfair to their own club. Although, deep down you're not really a Carlton supporter are you. ;)

Cue Nuffie here on schedule ..

Your avatar is most fitting to your IQ and personality !!! :D :D :thumbsu:

Well, there's "rave about" and then there's "would have been better than Benjamin or Anderson"..
Other than his parentage, what made Sheldon a more attractive player than Anderson and Benjamin as a junior?

I don't care who his Father is if he isn't a young gun.

Anderson has shown enough to justify his selection with a late pick.

Sheldon wouldn't be getting a game ahead of our small defenders, small mids and small forwards.

I'd rather have Josh Hill. :(

Troll.

You come here just to piss people off with ridiculous suggestions that are the very definition of being a nuffy.

Yeah because Hampson has really gone and taken the league by storm this year hasn't he FFS ???

Honestly you are rating him on his potential, rather then his performances thus far, and for me, Walkor (Taylor) would be a better bet for this club going forward ..

I'm sorry if that doesn't agree with your pompous, conservative and totally blinkered viewpoint of the Carlton footy club going foward.

Actually describing people with having sand in their vagina is the very definition of being a 'troll' btw ..

Grow up and let other people have opinions that doesn't agree with your own.

Okay folks, leave the personal crap out of it. If you don't like a trade suggestion, say so by explaining why. There is no need to concentrate on the poster and whether you think they are trolling. The moderators will review things like that.

If someone flames you, don't flame them back. Either take the higher ground in your response or report it.

You guys know all this already but it seems as soon as we relax a little, you are off again. I feel like I have to buy you ice cream and push you on a swing to take your mind off your squabbling.
