Agree with ODN. Not the type of defender we need. Usually asked to take on guys above his body weight and does a decent job. But what we need is a strong defender who can do the job on the big boys.

Is more an athletic defender that punches above his weight class than a genuine key position player IMO. Much like Thornton and Bower. I think he is pretty good but not what we need especially when it comes to a bidding war.

Agree with all of that ..cost us more thn he would be worth to our side ...actually prefer Tarrant.

Not the right fit, and we've no need to be jumping at any and every one that comes up.

$800K over three years sounds impressive, but isn't the average these days in the vicinity of $200K. Probably about right for an average established defender in the right age bracket.

Not a required player, and frankly I've always thought he is the type of player that is 'punching' above his weight ...

I would however greatly consider David Hale, if he can be traded for a 3rd rnd draft pick, not as a ruckman per se, but another tall timber in the foward line.

Sam Jacobs + #1 pick to Port For T Boak + there 2nd Rounder

Trade our #3rd + Hartlett pick to Hawthorn for Mark Williams

Trade our 2 #2nd rounders + Brad fisher to the Dogs for Brian Lake + 3 or 4th rounder


what do you guys think
we get a gun inside mid + another option up forward + lake which allows waite to play up top


btw not to sure if its realistic or not tho

Happy with our rucks and the way they are improving, basically Sam Jacobs for second rounder. Unrealistic.

Third rounder and Hartlett both average for Mark Williams who is decent, just had an average year.

All australian backman for someone who the game has gone past them. Unrealistic.

Would love for them to happen but we couldnt screw 3 teams mate.

Very overrated.

Waite, Jamison, Bower & Thornton are all already better than Gibson. And I have extreme faith that Austin will also prove to be a better player than Gibson.
