DH was scathing ...didn't need to be...could have simply said that Dusty has lifted his work rate and should be considered a brownlow chance..

Not the first time DH has got stuck into Dusty...wouldn't surprise me if Dusty would want out if DH is still around and when the opportunity presents itself
Very good point ffs DH rubbing the comps gun midfielder the wrong way when out of contract is so stupid. DH needs to shut up and do his job bc Martin is doing his more than any bloke in the comp.

He knows which buttons to press.
Martin worships Hardwick.

Really wasn't Martin travelling interstate some time ago to see if he could get takers? We were sucking lucky IMO.
Not a nice thing to say by DH IMO. Papa should have had a private chat.thsts what coaches do with their guns

Did Ch9 state what their source was and when the information was received?

Heard from a couple of people that the plan when Lids returned was that they'd try and get the rest of the year out of him, but if he experienced any tightness/straining in his calf/achilles, they'd put him on ice for the rest of the year. Not overly concerned about it, if true.

That wouldn't surprise me. I just hope it's fine in the pre-season and he has a massive 2017. The games from here til season's end mean pretty much nothing, just getting some games into kids and figuring out who to push off the plank.

I only ask, because TheAge have gone with an article saying Lids out indefinitely. They were the first to post it.

HOWEVER...their source is a quote from Dimma...from his post-match presser after the Essendon game over a week ago :drunk:

Good put him away and make sure the physio' get him right this time so he is ready to play round one next year
Sick of hearing he has soft tissue injury which stops him playing the first half dozen matches like last 3 years
Get them to do the job they r paid to do and get Lids ready for round one

For one, McBean has under 10 games experience at AFL level. He is a tall so you need to be a bit more patient with them from what I have seen. Secondly, I thought that he went to the right places very often - even with the onfield setup being, in my opinion, poor.

This tells me something - he has a good level of football intelligence and I think this alone makes him a player worth persisting with for Richmond (or other clubs). He has done this enough times over his time in the AFL for me to arrive at this conclusion

A big deficiency for him is his strength. He gets pushed out of contests because of it and he struggles to get a strong grip on the ball when trying to mark. Also, his set shots haven't been great so far either, but this - along with marking the ball - are something that he has been doing often in the VFL level, so he needs a bit of confidence in his own ability.

Give him some strength in the off-season and I think he'll be a decent, if not great, forward.
Got a feeling our strength and conditioning guy is also our tackling coach cause clearly neither works well

I don't know how to reply to individual posts.

Inside word (I'm not naming names) has informed me that no decision has been made on Lids. He will continue to be assessed and if he's fit to play then he will play. No risks will be taken, if the niggle remains, he won't play.

Duz had a good game but Hardwick isn't going to heap praise on the boy if he isn't doing what is expected of him. He's mighty fine with getting the footy and making space for himself but his decision making when it comes to disposing of the ball is often quite average. He will get votes of course, but Brownlow votes mean bugger all to the team.

Grimes is being assessed, should be fine. Not sure if it's been spoken about much has that troublesome hamstring of his is tickling a bit lately.

I am a journo and I just had to go and take pics and do a story at the local senior citizens piano concert.
It was infinitely more enjoyable than yesterday's game.

Who was best on the keys??

Firrito or Petrie could belt out a tune I reckon.

Boomer would have played Beethoven's 5th given he helped the man himself write it

Out for the season, let's hope he is right for round 1

Go punch your pet Damien ;)

I can't help think Bolton can't wait for Rd 1 next year. We may even play them twice next year... man this sux!!!

Please Please get our draft picks right!!!
Draft picks won't make any difference with Hardwick as coach
