Losing all of these games could land us in the bottom 4 given that Carlton and Gold Coast are only a game behind us.

McBean wont make it, way way to passive, basic skill under and without pressure is very poor, as is just mind boggling handballs into traffic. Give Moore a look instead of Beany. legit question, do you think part (perhaps a bit part) of the game plan is, "if in backline, first option is to assess a dinky handball to someone in equal or more pressure"? If so, good grief. I think the new team rule should be 'no handball is to be less than 4 meters, all handballs need to be to someone of less pressure - ie put someone into SPACE!!!! The out option being a kick to a contest, not a handball to a contest in the immediate vicinity'.

I have trouble to describe today, the most frustrating game I've seen in a while.

Our pressure was actually good some of the time, but our skills were bad. Near the end we just gave up almost.

This side is shot, mentally. They say adversity can make you or break you, ours have completely broken us down. We just need to get through the next few weeks, then start fressh next year.

Honestly I don't know who to put for best players. Dusty was good but not great, Cotch was meh, Grigg was ok. Jack had his momments but average game. Rance was good but had a few dumbass momment Hunt was decent. Grimes/Astbury/Vlastuin/Ellis were not good enough.

Worst thing about it, Hawthorn werent even that great today, better in the last quarter though, yet they won by 70 points, second 70 point loss for the year.

What's the point of trading our first rounder for Prestia? I don't see us winning another game this season so just take the best player with our top 5 pick, they get those ones right, just struggle with any later pick.

Hawthorn barely out of second gear in the second half. We were atrocious. Martin and Taylor Hunt were the only players that deserved votes. The rest should have their match payments halved.

Clearly, the club is delusion if it thinks we have the players and the coaches to win a premiership in the next 10 years. It is no mini rebuild, this list needs to start from scratch again. Gameplan is atrocious, coaching is atrocious and we have a completely dysfunctional forward structure.

Positives

Martin should feature in a brownlow vote
One game closer to the appointment of a decent head coach. Dimma should be GONE at the end of the season. He has taken the club backwards this year.

Negatives

Set shots of goal - deplorable
Forward line - non existent, or provided a guard of honor for the Hawks defensive 6 to run the ball out with ease.
Same players do the same thing each week. Ellis was disgraceful. Griffiths and Astbury basically played for the Hawks.
Short is not a defender, or midfielder.
Younger players like Markov, Drummond, Rioli and Short are being coached by inept coaches that will surely see them follow the same path as Ellis etc etc .. We can't afford to have players PLAY this gamestyle and have their natural games coached out of them to basically become duds like Ellis and Grigg.

The ONLY real positive is that it is crystal clear that Dimma has to go.

Out : Ellis, Grigg, Astbury, Conca (all delisted or traded)
In : Anyone playing VFL that is fit.

Message to Dimma - Stop using our jumper as a mop. Do the right thing and resign effective immediately.

Griffifths is not AFL standard cmon seriously, has not got a football brain, he is timid, more to the point he is scared out there. Grigg has gotta go as well, what the hell does he do. Hard to take anything out of that performance. It's a bit ridiculous to say I liked their early spirit despite the pressure because, come on, why should proper spirit be unusual for an elite sporting team to deliver on game day?

We were on the same ground but were obviously making sure the Hawks didn't go anywhere near those parts of the ground we constantly had our guys patrolling. Pity those parts of the bloody ground Hawthorn weren't even interested in using to start with.
