Smit shows a bit. Has given away some free kicks but he’s throwing himself into it and you can probably forgive some free kicks if he’s being aggressive.

We look better with Smit in the Ruck compared to when Purcell is in the Ruck

Looks like he has the raw material. But very raw. Probably used to dominating weaker smaller opponents. Needs a full preseason. Doesn't look fit enough for this level, and needs to hone his technique a bit so he doesn't give away soft frees. But I reckon he'll be ok long term. Certainly looks like a competitor, but hasn't found his way in this side yet.

HDM looks much better this week. Couple of very clean takes. Just seems to always be hand balling. Want to see him take it on a bit (for confidence). Yet to see any standout trait or weapons.

Parker. Above this level when he gets fitter. Comfortable he can play AFL. Just needs the rest of the year and a pre-season.

Allan. Constantly runs into trouble and doesn’t break tackles. He’s just not a dangerous player. No weapons. TBF he’s Not much help though. He’s had a taste of AFL. So hopefully that inspires him.

Reef- rusty and down on confidence. Play him through the middle for second half. Looked better when he went in there.
Aj - next.
Ryan - not seeing anything. No weapons.

Smit - competes well. Schoolboy 50m…just a good taste of the level.

You can see the AFL guys trying to play fast and the VFL guys are not where they’re expected to be.

No one was expecting him to be AFL ready for a year or 2

See Potential to work with

For a 18 year old Ruck he is not Skinny

Well they're below us on the ladder..
Who have they played though? We’ve lost to Essendon, Coburg and Preston who have 6 wins between them and were winless going into those matches.

We also only have 8 AFL listed players today, who would be lucky to have senior 50 games between them. Johnson (27) & McInnes (17) have the majority of those. Yeah Crocker has 33 afl games, but he’s looked cooked this vfl season.

I'm merely pointing out it's currently 17th v 18th.

I wouldn't have a clue who Casey have played. Don't really care tbh.

The only part of our VFL side that interests me is seeing how our AFL listed players perform.

I know who's in our VFL side and why.

He's been at the club for 10 days and still new to the game plan. Has to factor into it. He hasn't even trained with the AFL boys. I think he's looked good in some ruck contests.
