All About 150 years, Port want the Home game due to being allowed to wear the black and white strip, Making it at Adelaide Oval also fits with there agenda,
TBH I don’t really hate Port. I don’t hate any of the SANFL teams.

They get shafted by the AFL as much as we do. And there on a hiding to nowhere sharing colours and emblems with Collingwood.

I have no problem if they want to wear their old Magpies kit

I keep hearing Fagan talk about getting the 144 AFL Games done .....now, by my calculations that means another 8 rounds of footy ???

Has it been announced how many rounds there'll be this season .....or hope to get ?
18 teams play everyone once is 153 matches. Take away nine played equals 144 left

Go easy on WW, as his year 4 maths home schooling has been interrupted wirh COVID... ;)

Is that Woodville or Torrens that you supported

I was 6 when the Crows started and the WWT merger happened - I had no idea about the merger i just thought WWT was the team by the time my Sanfl knowledge expanded beyond "go norwood / boo port"

In 93 or 94 my mum managed to find a Crows 91 yearbook for me
In the player profiles it would have their SANFL club and i couldn't understand why some were listed as Woodville and others West Torrens

The AFL season seems to be full of contradiction To me, we are going to be playing games tackling warming up in groups, pre game locked in meetings but no high fives no shaking hands, 1.5 while sitting on the bench social distancing with victory song WTF give me a break no wonder I’m starting to watch in amusement

Ahh ok. I was 9 when we were formed. Good memories though from 1988-1990 of going to watch Norwood every week. For some reason I used to love watching us play Woodville

are you serious they are gonna make the bench sit 1.5m away from each other while playing a game of aussie rules footy?

what a ******* joke

the pretense is disgusting
[/QUOTE

All players are to be tested 24 hrs prior to games, but only those selected allowed entry into stadium, why can’t all players go it’s all a bit crazy to me

Problem is the old magpie kit does not work on the Gold Coast,
If the AFL is going to be real, that game would come late in the season, and maybe some football supporters may get to see the game live if it's held in Sept,
But that will mean Vic base Clubs FIFO from Vic to the Gold Coast for a couple of games.

Hilariously stupid. On field you can tackle each other, lay on each other and dribble all over each other.
Once you cross that white line though - 1.5 m apart!

That will certainly make a HUGE difference....

Yeah, but for vic teams to travel for every interstate game, regardless of whether their home or away, will not happen. Guarantee. To suggest it will is delusional.

/sarcasm

Nothing here is fair. To delay WA/SA training because of equity, then suggest "interstate" teams are obstructionist should they refuse to relocate for an indefinite period is ridiculous. To having ADL/PP have weekly scratch matches against each other (if we don't relocate) while Vic teams can play 9 other teams is going to set back development of our team for years to come. To base the game out of the highest infection-rate state. To (I guarantee) have the GF at the MCG even if 2 non-vic teams with no crowd.

I'm at a happy epiphany stage because I've realised that I really don't need to care about the AFL and I'm looking forward to investing my time in SANFL more. I've always gone to more local than AFL games anyway.

The thing I would add who you play in scratch matches won't add any benefit or detract from development (when no other teams are playing state sides). You'd still have teams only playing to get a gameplan down pact and get game time in a low competitive setting.

Really development is just to work out how to fit in a game plan and getting faster, stronger etc.

If Adelaide ends up years behind, we were going to regardless due to us having no idea whatsoever. I am genuinely concerned that will happen because well, how the club has acted in the last two years inspires no confidence that they know what they are doing.

Seriously. Vili's >>> Balfour's.

And Quiche is pretty good.

What an absolute campaigner this man truly is...

I heard Pilko mention that on the radio this afternoon, and was "Okaaaay". Koch really is pathetic. How big is that chip on Port Power's shoulder?

“We have enormous respect for the team, for the Crows, absolutely enormous respect, but just don’t like you. We’re so different. Why should we have to spend eight weeks in the same hotel? So we’ve requested to the AFL – why don’t you put us with one of the Western Australian teams…

“We’re so different. We eat Balfour’s meat pies and you eat quiche… and you guys drink chardonnay. Great respect, but nup. You’re not our type of people…”

Hinkley started with it too.

Reminds me of pretty much every Showdown over the last 3-4 years where they come out trying to bash us up and be tough guys when the game starts and we just get on with it.
