Its so hard to watch all this unfold..
How we as a club United and wrapped our arms around each other with the murder of phil. How we responded how as a club we were open honest and showed great unity. We seem a far cry from that now..
And to be honest we are chalk and cheese from the afc then to the afc now. Its a train wreack. I am sad disappointed and really cant understand wtf is going on..
The worm turns. Stay resolute.

Fagan is a spud. Dead weight as a CEO, too stupid to realize Roo and Burton are dragging him down.

Who’d hire him after this fiasco.
I struggle to agree but do. He’s a ****ing patsy.

Tex raises the ire of a lot of people for whatever reason. Completely undeserved, but I think because he still has a bit of a bogan about him people like to feel they're superior by taking pot shots at him.

One of those blokes where they'd love him if he was on their team though. In a league where so many cry loyalty is dead and players only care about money it's weird his passion for the team he plays for is mocked so much.

The hipsters don't like Bogans. Mind you any guy that doesn't wear makeup and/or doesn't have a "man" bun is considered a bogan. Thankfully now I identify myself as gender neutral they leave me alone.

I recall during the brief good times during the Craig years, when talking about Roo, a player said something like he's not the brightest guy in the world but he's a good teammate. I don't recall who it was but now imagine that this Roo and someone even less intelligent, are now the power brokers and calling the shots at a multi million dollar company that we are heavily invested in. Scary times.

It would be like buying shares in a company that just made Stephen Rowe the CEO.

Has any ex-AFC administrator or football dept person ever gone to a strong club in an equal or better role . A job at the AFC seems to be the end of the road.

There are 8 clubs who couldn't care less, at least 3 who are trying to work out how to be that 8 next year and another 4 trying to work out how to not be so shit next year.
Sounds like an Eagles song.

But ABA...I’ve had a gut full as well.
The only way to erase the stench of this year is to do it on field next year and return to finals.

I always find the "joke of the community" line (or country or state or planet) hilarious.

Noone is ever the joke of the community or laughing stock of the country etc etc.
Carlton are...

What made the club go down this path of mental disentegration of players after a grand final loss? Who was responsible and who was negligent in signing off on it? I fear this will affect our 2019 season and beyond through a player exodus from a club that is more concerned with protecting incompetent mates than looking after player welfare. Is Pyke's position now untenable? Players and members deserve an outcome from this massive ****up. At the very least we must see some changes down at west lakes this week.

I love my club but seeing this train wreck with still plenty to unfold breaks my heart.

Players leaving even though they seem very united as we witnessed at the club awards.

There is a disconnect and something needs to be done about it and people in positions need to swallow their pride and egos and leave.

I am shattered to see my once great club becoming the joke of the AFL community.
Yeah players leaving the club is a lot to do with culture in a certain way.
Things like money/home have an effect but it's not the actual reason they choose to go when so many have chosen to do so. The strength of the tie to stay is not enough and it's due to the culture thing.

Other people ask why does it happen at Adelaide, they don't seem like a rabble, they're always around the mark etc. They're perplexed, because we are not. However it doesn't mean we have an environment that makes it irresistible.

Now not culture in the way people think automatically like the place is a rabble, shit culture etc.

But culture as in the general vibe of the place. The vibe is set from everyone who is there.
It feels too much like a business to players and the pull to stay is not strong enough.
There is no warmth all the way down that makes players buy in to that and truly love it and they can't leave.

The playing group is strong and have good relationships etc but there is a disconnect to the management and they don't feel the love or like it's a home. There's no unity right through. Basically what Rowe was saying is similar.

Yet was roundly criticised on here for years, and anyone who defended him were blasted. This is why so many posters on here are hard to take seriously, their opinion shifts constantly to suit whatever the current agenda is.

The only suggestion here is that he's better than Burton. That's a very low bar. In fact that's the lowest bar. I'd take Trigg over Fagan as well. Doesn't mean I was wrong to think we can do better than Trigg. What I'm definitely wrong about is that thinking that our fortunes could turn on a decent CEO. Our problems are deeper than that and there's literally no solution. The board owns their position. They self appoint, so there's nearly no chance of an internal bloodletting. These people drive the club from their perpetually self appointing positions.

Not even a retweet of the Mattner news from Fagan today. To be fair he might be on holidays.

I'll call it now, I think we will call in a favour with 'The Advertiser' in the next few months. We will get them to run a puff peice on Fages and the tough times he has had this season ect.

I don’t get it either

I still remember Trigg doing that. The family dog made an appearance, while this place went into meltdown.
