McCartney looks to be a pretty ordinary coach. They are absolutely horrible with no fwd structure at all.
Way too early to tell. Off the top of my head: Hall, Ward, Harbrow, Cooney, Morris, Hudson have all left/been injured whilst guys like Boyd, Cross and Gia get a year older they were always bottom 4 material. Getting rid of Rocket was a poor decision to appease the media however.

Of course we are rebuilding.

Boyd himself has said the bulldogs are not rebuilding.

10 players with 150+ games with 5 of those with 200+, a wealth of experience still on that list.

What's really concerning about the bulldogs they're not kicking goals. It's well and good the new coach is teaching them a new contested game style, but if the team is only kicking 6 -7 goals a game it doesn't give much hope to the supporters.

Would the Dogs be looking to offload some of their established players this year? They have too many old blokes running around for a developing list. Could afford to drop one or two out of the senior line up and pick up some draft picks.

Cross and Giansiracusa are probably surplus to their needs at the moment.

Find me a team that would take them.

An all Australian couldn't find a home at age 30 this year. I doubt two players well past there best will find a team that will draft them.

You would definitely receive interest for Cross. Getting a bit slow but a lot of club, including mine, are in need of an inside mid.

Gia's a flash in the pan kind of player. But you could get something for him I would think.

The funny thing is these guys were responsible for WB coming top 4 three seasons in a row.

Really feel for the Dogs.. two things have hurt them:

1) Losing Ward and Harbrow, on top of Cooney's knee issues, has really killed their dash and run- opposition teams can just sit on Griffen now.

2) They've invested a lot in young, key-position players (Williams, Grant, Jones, Cordy, Roughead) who, as a whole, haven't really delivered as yet.

Agree that they're rebuilding, Liberatore and Wallis are a good start.. next couple of drafts need to be nailed.

The big issue is how will they cover the likes of Boyd, Cross, Murphy, Lake, Hargrave, Morris, Gilbee, Cooney and Gia. They will all likely be gone over next few years. Sure some of couple of those guys haven't had a big impact. But I think this is going to be a huge problem. The forward line had been woeful but the likes of Roughead and Cordy could develop.
