And Chad’s brother saying it was exactly like the Ash tackle. The AFL website also saying he was lucky and that ‘Jones pinned Cadman's right arm and drove him into the ground early in the match, slamming the forward's head on the turf’.

Recency bias.

He was horrendous first 8 rounds.

Didn’t even finish the year particularly well. No goals and limited impact in the last three rounds.

Had a great month before that but that was the only consistent stretch he went on for the season. Doesn’t really matter but just a real bizarre selection.

Rayner makes it in because it hasn't been a great year for non-key forwards. Some who you'd expect to have been candidates had down years, like Fritsch, C Cameron, Greene. Rankine missed too much through injury and suspension.

Greene had a down year by his top 3-5 player in the comp standard but was still so far ahead of Rayner it's not funny

Rayner a joke but zero chance he makes it.
It's not a woeful pick I think. People would have picked holes in Greene and (who else), Miers, Pickett too?

TBH they should have just picked an extra midfielder or two in the squad but I honestly reckon team balance is a little bit overstated. Good players eventually move to midfield and impact through the midfield if they're not key position size. It's a bit silly that they can pick Sinclair, Holmes etc. because they were a mixture of half-back and midfield this season ... but not pick Flanders because he played half-back and mid but marginally more mid than those two, but had the better season? Once you start trying to dissect these things it becomes a little silly. They're trying to thread the needle between the best players and a balanced team but it's an impossible task.

He said he wasn't even sure Cadman hit his head on the ground.

Poor old Lewis. Constantly carping against us, so love the fact he was brought down a peg.

Yeah, I have noticed that, he made a comment on Fox a few months ago about the best player Hawthorne ever traded in was Lake, and “we got him cheap too.” Nothing wrong with that except Brad Johnson was sitting at the same table and just looked at him. So disrespectful to Johno and the Bulldogs.

Darcy and JUH have made the 22 under 22 final team.

Very well deserved.

Jeez we have some young guns coming through. Exciting times at the Dogs.

Not to mention in this side done yearly its been our mids and running backs get in the squad, CHF and FF is like a non Bulldog thing to happen in the past

Poor Jordan Lewis can't see a difference between Jones and Owies tackles. Should go back to spec savers!
There is at least one very clear and significant difference. Jones pinned one arm leaving the ball carrying arm free to brace for impact.

Owies pinnned both arms leaving the ball carrier no chance to brace for impact.

I'm not sure how anyone can't see that. And because they are different, they are, by extension, not the same. Simples.
