Ted Richards showed in the GF that he has got the goods.

yeh, like mentioned in the past, the only thing that matters in the end is the final score.. no matter how u win, a win is a win... & in the big crunch games you need players who can handle & perform under pressure... i thought teddy showed alot of poise in the 06 GF. similar to bally on 05. apart from the usual supects (more experienced) kirky mathews leo okeefe goodes the boltons etc.... we need as many up & coming big game players as possible... i cringed every time LRT got near the ball in the 06 GF

Didn't we all? He did get a goal though ;D

Cats fans i reckon you'll be okay this year. 6th ive got you at atm.

Us i EXPECT us to be top four and to be in there comfortably. People forget we snatched 4th place in the last week of the h and a season. I dare say if we were 5th it would of definately been that much harder.

I have us down at 2nd. Time to show some dominance now.

Top 4 will be
Wet Toast
Swannies
The purple haze
The bullies

OUTSIDERS- The aints
The cats with their hand bags
The crow eaters

the big improvers and to scrape into the eight- The Dawks, and the Bummers

don't you mean the mighty floods?, as for the bummers?, nope they are destined bottom 4 again, sheedy has to rebuild an ordinary team.

Remember it is almost inconceivable that for 3 years in a row the same 2 teams make the top 4 and fight off in the grannie, I can't see West Coast slipping that far but the swans may be on the cusp of a downward spiral, thay have had a brilliant run with injuries to key players and despite their player management this is probably more down to luck

No, that's you. Mighty flood.. every single Geelong player in the defensive 50 and you still let a goal through. Haha..

Yes Geelong flood...a lot. But the swannies invented it and perfected it, that's why we couldn't hold you out. I was pleased that the swans won the grannie that year, anyone but Collingwood in my opinion is welcome to it. I was also glad that the AFL did everything they could do to help you like say Barry Hall getting off punching someone in the guts 40 metres off the play.

Oh please, if he really would have punched even with a little force Matt Maguire wouldn't have moved for the rest of the week. It was a love tap.

Check out this link...his last suspension was 5 weeks:

It's strange that during 2005 the afl amended the tribunal laws to say that only convictions within the last 3 years were to count towards consideration of penalties yet once big bad barry was to front the tribunal all of a sudden it was "the rule only starts from 2003 onwards". Don't ever doubt it that was not a gift.

And yes I agree that it was not a killer blow but in light of what other players were getting rubbed out for in the same year it beggared belief, remember Rocca and Cloke being suspended from Collingwood's grand finals sides in 2002 and 2003, their actions were no worse.

Hall got off with a reprimand for that incident as it was deemed "in play" by the Tribunal.....in play?, whose kidding themselves, the incident happenned in the forward pocket and the ball wasn't even in the forward 50.

I am a neutral observer, as stated earlier I was happy the swans won, I only have distaste for Collingwood and a touch towards Essendon but you cannot deny that Hall getting off was a little more than just luck.

I don't think it was luck. It can be percieved as luck or not, but IMO, it wasn't luck. We had our reasons and we used this to defend against the report and fortunatley he could play on. There's no luck behind it. You just need to have a case and a reasonable reason to defend this allegation. And we did.

And the reasonable reason was???, remember he was found guilty not innocent, the reason it was reduced to a reprimand was it was deemed "in play", the swans must have some good spin doctors to talk their way around that one.

It was in play. The ball was coming that way and Barry was trying to break free to run off. That's 'in play' to me.

look, there are loopholes for everything... it happens in all codes in all countries & even in every day life... ppl are gettn out of trouble not cos they were "lucky" but cos they had a legitimate case good defence team.

so i thank his defence team. not his luck stars =)

How very philisophical, well I think we've done this to death. Good luck to the swannies for '07 and I hope we see some more quality stoushes between them and westcoast, at least it made good viewing during the finals.

Hell no. I love Lukey. I think he's going to have a big year. He really started showing something at the end of last year, shame it had to end they way it did.

biased opinion: HELL YEAH, lukey all the way!!

non-biased opinion: i'd prefer to hav S.O.G as opposed to N.O.G in my team.
