This is getting way beyond a joke… What DOES happen if we genuinely can’t field a team? Seriously.

I think we are going to find out. The problem we have now is we are playing injured players as there is no-one to replace them with, so we just run them into the ground. Bailey Williams has been playing injured for a few weeks and has now gone down. How many others are there? Simmo said JJ was lucky to play on the weekend. We know SPS hurt his hand or something. Darling has an upper back injury and came back pretty quick from that broken ankle.

My guess is that they would postpone a match and give us the bye early, then hope we can get our shit together. I'm kind of hoping it comes to this, as AFL scrutiny on our injury management would be good to ensure we are doing best practice internally and highlights all the recovery problems from increased travel etc.

Just don't have a ruck.

Plenty of sides read nics taps when he was around.

Just get a guy who can run all-day to half ass the initial bounce then run off and fill a hole in the backline

I’ve wondered for some time whether the game may evolve so that the traditional* ruckman is obsolete. After all it’s not the hit outs that count but the clearances.

*Or at least ruckmen who are not athletes like Cox.

Maybe Simmo can be a trendsetter?

If we don't have a full team to play seniors then that's fine by me.

But don't play injured players to make up the numbers. It's maknjg matters worse.

Bring back Aaron Black!

I loved watching the WAFL top ups come in and get a chance at AFL level last year. Let’s face it, we aren’t winning the flag or making finals, so rest the guys that need it and bring in some mature bodies to help us get through the games we are most likely to lose anyway.
The other upside is we may unearth some mature talent that was overlooked and pick them up in the mid season draft. 😊

It’s not a thing any more. We’re limited to the players on our list.

Start mentioning duty of care if we play injured players and lawsuits and Gil and co. would probably make something up on the fly.
Not like they haven't changed the rules mid-season before with no notice
I mean on the one hand, play the ammo's and our side descends into a free fall and beltings and players lose all confidence.

But it can't be good playing injured players.

Not blaming anyone or the club. It is what it is until we get a greater player turnover.
