We played one good quarter, but what I want to see us build on is the never say die and always believe you can win attitude.

Dare I say it, Collingwood have mastered it in recent times, and it's an excellent trait to have for a team when they always believe they can win, and the opposition always fear you're coming.

Our midfield doesnt control games for long periods so we rely on one good quarter or short bursts. Its gonna be hard to fix going forward, you would this Hawks midfield gets miles better the next few years.

They worked harder and were hungrier around the contest. Newcombe and Worpel played amazing games. They also kicked ridiculously straight and punished us on the turnover (7 goals from our turnovers to half time!!).

I put down our performance a bit to arrogance - every time we kicked a goal it felt like our boys thought the game was won.

At the end of the day we banked the 4pts and we'll learn a bunch of lessons, as well as learning how to win from behind.

We won clearance around the ground but got spanked out of the middle. We need to sort it out, if we have no confidence in it just punch it forward and get something from it

Amazing win! Didn't think it could happen.

Hope this gives some real belief in the side. No ideawhat the Hawks were doing but our midfield looked very static for most of the game. We had our period of dominance and then went beserk.

Sicilly is umpired in an a amazing way. Literally drag jack to the ground and play on. Get's touched and dives = free. But then I don't remember the TV playing and replaying the poor decisions so much. Sort of liek they couldn't beleif what they were seeing. Might make some difference going forward how poor that was.

Anyway, lovely win. Didn't deserve it - although the Hawks just couldn't miss, and we missed easy shots over and over again. Midfield sucked, then switched. My heart took about 1/2 hour to settle.

Extremely underwhrming win but an extremely important one.

We are way off the pace against the top teams.

Hell, we were off the pace against the hawks but its not at incompetent levels like when we just had shit players. We just arent nailing any of our disposals and this puts the receiver under pressure and next thing, turnover and the oppos are off in the other direction.

The good news is with confidence, you start nailing the disposals and then its the oppos who feel the pressure.

I think we have to reward Cumbrrland with a game.
