When your first two KPI's don't have the slightest thing to do with football ability or impact whatsoever, you might want to consider changing your KPI's. By your logic we could bring in a Kenyan marathon runner who's never seen a football before and he'd be a better option than Teakle.

Which brings to the next KPI.

Can he keep obrien to below his average hit out to advantage. If he can then we have our Ruck.

If he can win 30% of the contests to advantage then he's a clear winner.

As far as I'm concerned Rucks the most important position on the ground and at present we are only looking at the best options currently on our list. Not the perfect Ruck.

Lycett. Out of sorts and probably injury playing a part.

Teakle ( obviously needs a run on todays effort)

Dante. don't want to play him without another pre-season he's still 5-10 kilos off being competitive at afl level.

Finlayson. we need forward and we risk injury.

Dixon. just too banged up its cruel making him ruck.

All of them are better options than Hayes.

The idea of Hayes sucks people in. The reality is he’s had long enough.

You have no idea. I can't be any clearer than that. No point conversing with you about this. You've fully absorbed the anti-Hayes propaganda and you're so blinded by that ideology that you can't look at what's actually happening on the football field and see that it bears no relation to what you've been convinced is happening.

Incidentally, Sam 'cAnT rUn oUt a gAmE' Hayes has never been subbed out of an AFL game. Scott 'bUt hE gEtS tO sO mAnY cOnTeStS' Lycett has been subbed out three times this year.

You can not be subbed if no sub is available as with his last game.

We can choose not to play a Ruck if he is the only option available as we chose to do last year.

Teakle needs a run lol.

He should not even be on the list.

Statistically Hayes is in front of Visentini at this stage. In his only AFL game this year Sam Hayes had 10 disposals and 18 hit outs while in his only AFL game this year Dante Visentini had 4 disposals and 2 hit outs. Meanwhile in 4 games this year Teakle has averaged almost 21 hit outs and 10 disposals. While I do not think Teakle has any long term future as a AFL player on the stats he looks the best option if we decide to rest Lycett.

The question of course is how fit is Lycett? He looked cooked in last night's game and really looks like he needs 2 or 3 week's rest.

Our rucks are in a mess is an understatement.

So we need to win the next few games and hope Brissy drops one. We also need to rest our key players to ensure they’re ready for finals.

Dixon looks banged up but we are much better with him in the team.
Lycett looks banged up but we are better when he plays at this best.
JHF and Butters looked fine last night but we need to look after them.

Boak, Wines both look out of sorts.
McEntee was poor last night and hasn’t been great for a few games.
Williams as the sub was poor, it was really a terrible choice to make him sub.

Dixon out for Lord.
Lycett out for Hayes - there isn’t anyone else and we can’t ruck Dixon or Jezza by themselves.
McEntee for Raz if fit. Or McEntee stays if Rioli misses.

Williams to the twos - unlucky. Narkle or Bonner as sub.

Emerg: Jonas, Jackson, Teakle, Bonner/Narkle

I’m genuinely happy we lost to Collingwood today. The look on Butters face at the end tells me everything I need to know.

We’re going to use this for fuel throughout September.

Port to win the flag by 8 points against the pies.

I’ve also drunk 2 bottles of wine.
...and still up at 1.30am bravo. Anything good?

There is no way dixon doesn’t play this week.

Rankine just pinged a string so no Rankine or Rachele for them.

Narkle and DBJ for Rioli and Evans

Also depending on that late knee knock Lord for Dixon

Would be an all time great win for the crows if they got up with only 2 of the 4 match winners on their list playing (Walker and Dawson)

Depending on Lycett management to Hayes for him would be another I'd consider

Hayes has had one game with the sub being a tactical one yeah? And that game the sub was used for an injury in the first half

Got him!
