lol ports entire strategy is "we are bound to win one one day!"

It's maddening isn't it. One day it'll be our turn!

We're the least likely club in the league to get "a turn" where the AFL pumps resources and/or free kicks into certain clubs to end droughts, or at least not in any of our lifetimes.

We are Homer Simpson fighting Drederick Tatum, waiting for him to get tired.

Would it hurt to actually say something like "We're fit and have pretty much our full list to choose from, The feeling around the club is great. We're up to our necks in this premiership race, and as good a chance as anyone to win the whole thing.

No chest beating or false bravado, just quiet confidence. But nah.

They have never, ever got the messaging right at any time during the Koch era. It's really not hard to at least pretend for the sake of the supporters. Who on earth is media training these guys?

People (Janus ) who think this might finally be our year and we've got all our ducks in a row, the same old loser talk suggests our attitude hasn't changed at all.

Mental fragility is an individual thing in sport. It's quite rare that it actually permeates a team of 22 footballers. A mentally fragile player in a high performance environment can have a bad day but the slack can be picked up by his team-mates.
When it does permeate an entire team is when the message coming down from above is one of failure, of "near enough is good enough". This team falls apart when it matters, as a group, because Hinkley has already given them an out before a ball has even been kicked, and he does it over and over.

There is no missing piece. The last 11 years have proven that so many times.
The missing piece is getting rid of a certain someone. We have had our chances and failed each time.

Had to laugh and cry with both Kornes and King singing Adam Kingsley’s praises this morning and how it’s a lesson to other clubs - WCE and WB the examples given - that change is a good thing for clubs that are going stale under the same coach.

Kane without a hint of irony.

Unbelievable. But it is, all too believable, with this champion of mediocrity. Finals are a bit scary. Which highly paid, “experienced” coach in their right mind would think this shit, let alone speak those words. It’s exactly the type of drivel that Bevo got smacked about saying before their WCE loss, only last week.

Yes Kingsley could have been here.

Kingsley was here at one point wasn't he? As a coach I mean.
He's also brought in Monty as part of his team, another assistant from Port.

Throw in Voss at Carlton and Richardson at Melbourne, that's a fair bit of coaching talent from under Hinkley who are now part of finals coaching teams.

Who knows, maybe they weren't the problem?

We are 3rd with a 17 win season... Yea man, wish we had Kingsley to scrape us into the finals. What a flop this season has been.

Look on the bright side, fellas. He might still be here for a further two years, but at least in the short-term he’s staying on the bench with Carr and Bassett in command of the matchday nerve centre,

While we have this guy, who took Bacchus Marsh to the lofty heights of 8th in the Ballarat Netball Football League, coming in as development coach for 2024 and beyond.

• Scary.
• Empathy.
• Love.

If that doesn’t scream ‘Port Adelaide Football Club!’ to you, either quit living in the past or go and support the bloody tingles!

Kingsley was an assistant at Port from 2007-2010, before spending 8 years at St Kilda, and then joining a Richmond side that was already at the top of the tree in 2019.

"I'm not frightened of it. I mean, it's a bit scary playing finals but you earnt the right and you have just got to embrace the opportunities."

Seriously 🍩😬

How did we go from Ebert Cahill Williams ruthless demanding expected to "its a bit scary"

The fact this cucumber still around is a testament to the supporters today and the board Screenshot_20230810_112717_X.jpg
