Funny how we went from “Meth Coke Eagles” to “millions of other Australians do it”. I mean just as Gary Pert said himself "Our culture at the club is the best I've seen in 40 years."

I think it’s fair to say that we can let it go given cousins left eagles 17 years ago.

World has changed in that time including understanding of mental health.

That Cousins article is from 2017.

Theyre enjoying it even more so now cause there’s finally heaps to lay into about on field performance.

I can think of one tossa who can’t go a week without having give his opinion on everything related to all things WCE🙃

Ah yes, famous Victorian Brandon Jack. Anyone actually bother to read the article? Thought it was very good tbh.

You're basically proving his point.

But is there a “problem” within the AFL specifically? No. Defiantly, I will say, no. Go to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting in any local hall, and you’ll hear stories of addiction shattering a person’s life. You can hear it in their voices, the daily struggle to live with addiction. These are the impacts of a real drug problem. Their suffering is not comparably to the stupidity of a young man in the public eye being caught out consuming a drug that a vast number of Australians also indulge in from time to time.

You're basically proving his point.

1. I couldn’t read the article, it was paywalled.

2. He’s giving Smith a lot of credit there, from the sounds of it he’s done a bit more than just “get caught out consuming a drug”.

Yeah and? A grudge for what happened 7 years ago then!

As long as people read about it and then talk about it, they will flog the horse for as long as possible. I don’t read or watch anything anymore where it’s about him or he is mentioned.

It’s just not that interesting, it’s same old shite and why do people feel the need to relive it? They will keep writing about him from time to time until he is effectively dead. It’s lazy cheap journalism that weak minded fall for.

To be fair to Kane he gives every club except for Port a pretty hard whack when the opportunity arises. It’s not just an Eagles thing.
Doesn’t mean he’s not a fkwit though.
