Dow has been given enough chances, unfortunately he has shown he is not good enough at the level.
I would keep playing guys like Brown & Trezise. I would bring Clarke into the 22.

Not sure if Lefau did enough to hold his spot looked kind of lost out there today, I would probably replace him with Maurice we need some pressure it obvious out there. I would drop Banks for Mcauliffe & put Ross to the wing if we they want go that way. even Sonsie maybe not sure if you can play all these guys but me personally, I said from the start I would not have been playing Pickett & McIntosh to me their just wasted games if we are not winning whats the point of getting games into them?
Yze's starting 22 Round zero was Broad, Grimes down back, TT, JH, Prestia, Dow in the middle MRJ up fwd & Pickett Kmac on wings. Dunno what the game plan was but can't clear a ball out of D 50, can't mark down the line, Balta and Bolton up fwd not great either.
Yze made good changes in first 2 games.

Ryan, Campbell, Gibcus and Banks the only "kids". But in fairness he had a look at Kosi, Naismith too.

We played a horrible first half. A good 3rd qtr.

Carlton : Dusty, Lynch IN Banks, Kosi, Naism OUT

arguably a 5 point loss was a relatively good result given injuries to Prestia, Young, Gibcus and Hopper, Broad and MRJ.

Luckily Sonsie & Kmac II are playing well and could come in.

If Broad is available does he come straight back in. TBH Young wasn't great before injury, do we need his height?

Just enjoy the ride.
We had a crack.
Only 30k attended because the F1 was on.
CFL love to eff over our club.
More just sick of the umpire cheating and staying home.
But we are getting games into the cubs.
Yze only 3 senior games into his tenure.

We wasted disposal at times but the young team still had a crack.

Onwards to the Swans and umpires next week.
That's the other thing WTF would the AFL play a Sunday game when the GP is on?
They could have chosen a Saturday night. It's just bullshit, I was watching the GP on my phone during the game while sitting at the MCG. They could have had the GP on the big screens before the game. AFL are a bunch of arrogant kunts!

6 forced changes against a side that has loaded up to the max and if they don’t win it in the next two years we’ll beat them to our next premiership .
Naturally blokes were played who without injury wouldn’t have got a run.
Blokes like Taranto , hopper , Jgti,Prestia young are not going to be in our next flag and club needs to not only accept it but start prioritising youth over these blokes not the other way around .
We need to inject pace and skill and accept it’s going to take time .

It's well known that they get players in who will play for under's. But more like the Costa side money in action. What they do well is yeah they get in older players but they do not forget younger ones either. They have a good mix year in and out that's why they can sustain form. We all know about how Sydney stay up top, and how can sides without help compete as what we did was a miracle. We simply gave away our trade picks so now Taranto Hooper all of a sudden doesn't look as good as they thought. Kozi I know didn't cost much but what were they thinking? Gale, how did he become our savior only to see the eventual downfall? We should have been set for years instead we are heading back to the dark ages.

They just draft better than us. Very few first round misses, which is where our recruiters have let us down. They also go hard for young out of favour local talent.

I think this is the reason they've been hesitant to bring McAuliffe in. We're already poor defensively, and as good as any first year player is going, they're probably going to be focused more on the ball than their man, as that's what they're used to in under 18s.

I still think we need to play our best young players anyway. They can learn defensive positioning on the job.

The other option that could be worthwhile is throwing someone like Mansell in there to tag Heeney next week. Mansell is a very physical player who has a decent tank and can play all over the ground. Might not get get much ball himself in the middle, but has the right skills to shut an opponent down.
Played well Mansell and I haven’t been his biggest fan
