Warnock is an over the odds trade? You think Carlton could not get better than pick 24 for him now?
Stop the trolling as its very boring. Everytime I am on the draft forum you are posting about Warnock, McLean or Ball and then repeating it over and over in any trade deal.
You should be...
I think perhaps the point being made is that Beau Dowler does not at this stage hold a great deal of trade value. He might be a forward and had great attributes as a junior but 5 years on its all about what he can do now and the form he is in today and what his body allows him to do.
The big...
The topic is about Warnock though. Not you patting yourself on the back about trading Brock and being miles in front from it. It makes this sort of thread rubbish with all the gloating. Carlton are in front in the Fev trade so it makes it okay to bring it up on any thread about Brisbane trading...
Demonheart, could you please stop being so biased and trying to laud it over anyone. I understand McLean is injured and your miles in front of the trade if he stays that way forever. But it may not.
Warnock is a decent shut down defender and its good to have depth but he is hardly AA and is...
Very hard to get impartial ratings on players when the team is playing so poorly, especially from opposition supporters of teams who are playing very well.
Its like they believe the staus quo will remain forever and they can laud it over any rival team for the rest of their lifetime.
I dont think the Bucks are a bad team at all. The east is pretty weak other than a few teams though. Looks like Salmons has made a decent difference since the trade and Bogut is playing like a star. That may change but judging the season overall I would have Bogut pretty clearly in front. I...
I think the arguement is that Bogut has had a better year than Amare overall. Bogut still seems to be improving and has a pretty decent case of being a better player over this season based on everything.
Basketball is not just about scoring averages.
I think this idea of being an "offensive juggernaut" does not take into account the full picture. Amare is terrible offensively and gets lit up quite a bit. He can still score 30 quite easily but what is being scored on him and is he setting up anyone when the defense starts to collapse on him...
Seems to play without intensity at VFL level and one game aside where he kicked a bag up forward he just is not looking like the quality junior he was before he was drafted. The decision making and time he had as a junior does not seem to be their and the mobility is greatly down.
Injuries...
Perhaps you could email Carlton with your thoughts on the draft to help them out. Then afterwards you can out it up here with your reasoning and the posters can rip it apart.
"It is believed that Luke Ball is disgruntled............................."
Is nothing more than speculation and looking to fill up some content for people to read. I am going to laugh when he does not end up at Collingwood.
It seems to me that some posters are getting seduced by height/weight stats and thinking that translates easily into a KPP at AFL level. A cm or 2 is not that important. Its about judgement, attitude and core strength and a whole lot more factors. Players who can keep their eye on the ball and...
I would like to see Ball stay at the Saints. Dont think they have done a lot wrong in the situation and would not like to see them get nothing for him if he does go.
If you target a player well before trade week then have a reasonable deal organised that you can eventually settle on once all...
If he is happy to move to Sydney then he will get there. They have so much cap room and can slot him right into their team. No team can compete with that and they have a pretty early PSD draft pick. Just a question of whether its entirely about money/contract lenth or if its a balance with...
It was a meaningless touch football game when the result was a foregone conclusion. The game was open and little defensive pressure and he played on Anderson. He is finished now.
Good post Windows. Some surprises in the draft I think this year and after the first handful all bets will be off. Very glad pick 12 was snagged in the Fev deal and Henderson has balanced out the list a bit so that nobody has to be reached for at that pick and someone suitable drops a few places...
Bradshaw is unselfish and can actually show young players how to go about positioning, leading and so forth. How to act on and off the field. He is still playing at a high level and is versatile.
Robbo on the other hand has been cracking the sads onfield for quite a while and put in some...
Looks pretty versatile and has played all over. Good size and has leg speed. A Fairly low risk option who looks like he will make the grade. Pretty rapid improver this year.
Not sure you are allowed to suggest someone slightly different though. You will be thrown off BigFooty for doing that.
That a lot more players were traded, a lot more players will go into the draft and PSD this year. A lot of rookie are going to be upgraded onto primary lists. The draft is not very deep but clubs are still going to go into the 60s with it as GC will raid it next year and wont be much easier...
Weak leadership at Brisbane. I know he is good with the kids but they need to take action and discipline him. Out for the first few rounds will do for a start.
Like to thank Adam Bentick for his time at Carlton. Great bloke and will be missed. Game just got quicker and quicker and copped injuries at the wrong time. Always gave it everything he had and got the most out of himself. Will be missed by the players a lot more than other more high profiled...
The collective bargaining agreement has changed since the Voss situation. Why has every contract deal, player trade etc linked to Judd/Visy? It has been signed off by the AFL. Clubs have these sorts of arrangements with sponsors and players and the AFL trawls through it with a fine tooth comb...
If Bradshaw is happy to go to Sydney then they have more cap room than anybody else. Would Roos want him after making so many noises about "going down another path" with not wanting Fevola and trying to nurture White and co?
If I was them I would go for him if he wanted to move to NSW.
Bradshaw most likely does not have a whole lot of football left in him. But is a very professional player who will squeeze the most out of himself and has always been in shape.
Carlton would have the best idea outside of Brisbane what sort of shape he is in after giving him a medical.
Is...
