IMHO Medhurst plays more like a key forward than a crumber and is nothing like Thurly. I think he would give us just as much as Bradshaw without having to give up any where near as much. He also wouldn't be competeing for game time with Nathan And Tomahawk like Bradshaw would.
As for Callen...
If Haynes was up for trade as was reported and no one wanted him i would say he is certain to be delisted . Slade , Haynes and Chambers. Only have 3 picks delist McCarthey next year. Take a chance on drafting Rowan Bonson with pick 35.
I disagree with everyone that says we would have won against sydney if Chambers played. In the last game against richmond he got pushed around many times just like H did at the end. If king and Otto are fit Sarge doesn't get a game, simple. In my opinion pick 35 is a good result for GFC.
I would love fevola to come to the cats.A few things make this unlikely though . 1. Carlton are in the box seat and will want a very good deal. Bartel and our 1st round or Bartel and maybe a playfair or Gardiner or mabe even better.Would we do this? I probably would.
2. Salery cap there is no...
In the cold light of day still gutted.Could not of tackled or ran any harder, as all Geelong supporters will now realize there is no justice in football. Long long summer for the players. Matthew Scarlett is number 1.
Most of the tall players look ok in patches. Spencer had a pretty good game and Lonergan has been played well most games. If the opposition are going to tag it is Tenace who will cop it so that should be good for his devalopment.
Brock McClean would be a strong early favorite and i would reckon Bradley would also be ahead of Shannon at this stage , but yer he does well when he comes on.
In my opinion Steve Johnson is our best forward. Very smart and hard at the ball. One area he could improve is when he gets a real hard and close tag he struggles to break it but i am sure that will improve with experiance and coaching. I find it hard to believe that he is a smoker.
Sando and Ricco don't take up spots on the list so we still have to find 3. I don't think Buckland is worth a spot on the list . I would definately keep Haynes. It is a shame Rahilly can't kick very well because he certainly runs hard ,is fast enough and no one can question his courage. At this...
Going back a bit but was Peter Sumich a gun forward? Very good yes ,but a gun?
Steve Johnson ,GAJ and either Otto or King will be the keys if we are to win a flag. If we do win the flag this year i reckon i will go into the SEN studio just to see the look on Dermies face as he talks about the game.
At the time i was very keen for Jade.Tenace wasn't expected to get through to 7. We do seem to have had a bit of luck in trade and drafting in that case .Otto is also 3 years younger than Jade and will be a quallity ruck option.
Waste not want not . It all adds up . Do not hesitate if i see money on the ground.
And i have never ever been burnt trying to pick up a glued coin either keep trying guys.
I wish i had a little brother ! The hook shot should be encouaraged in BYC but none the less into the ground . Over the fence batsmen fetches and is out.
No doubt in our best 22. I would suggest that he would have been in bombers untouchable 15.Great enthusiasm when he goes near the ball . I could not fathom why the tigers would prefere pick 12. Demons did very well in the trades ending up with 2 1st round picks and Maloney and only losing...
I would be very surprised if pick 12 turns out to be a better player than Maloney and what Maloney will be 3 years older , big deal. At the same time i can understand Wallet wanting to bring his own players through.
Hi TAC cup gurus. I Just have a few inquiries about Prior ,I think his first name is Adam from the Bushrangers.
He seemed to get great press early in the the year in taking big amounts of marks and seemed to be kicking a few goals each week.
He hasn't been in any phantom drafts that i have...
Looking through our list i don't see anyone with Brown or Treadrea physics. Otto and kingy will play closer to goal. I think our best option would be like Melbourne and Brad Miller. Therefore it comes down to Haynes or Charlie.
Benny was a very good player for geelong over 12 years well done Ben.He will be very hard to replace next year no question.
What we must remember also is that he was offered bucket loads of money to leave when Colbert left.
At that time it would have ripped the heart out of the club if he...
I agree that Loats should be delisted and stay delisted for the sake of devaloping Blake, Playfair and Lonergan.
I think that Slade is the most expendable ,but will be drafted back with our final pick.
Spriggsy would have been "shipped" around in trade week .No team probobly offered lower than pick 64 so i would say Spriggsy is in trouble.Almost a certainty to be delisted.
Iwas undrer the impresion you could have up to 4 players on the vets list , but instead of 50% of thier wage onthe cap it goes down to 33% if thier are 3 and 25 if 4.
