'Police linked the murders of six women whose bodies were found in Frankston and Tynong North between 1980 and '81. Result: Police suspect Harold Janman — although he has never been charged.'
quote from here...
If I remember correctly the AFL are contracted to play 45 games at the G, 46 games at docklands and another 2 games at Docklands if finals aren't played there the year before. Total = 93 contracted games in Melbourne.
9 Melbourne teams gives 99 games in Melbourne, plus 4 of Geelong's home...
Late last year we made a structural change bringing in a defender (Stratton) for a forward (Bruest).
With a forward (Roughead) to come back in I think we'll reverse this change and leave out a defender. The defender to be left out should be a small-medium defender. We've plenty of those...
Took me a while to find the details on the ticketmaster site.
I had to go to log into my ticketmaster, go to order history, then enter phone number, creditcard number and country in the search for phone and online orders, then click on the order number that came up after the search.
Had a look on the TV.
Renouf showed enough leap and competitiveness :thumbsu:.
Thorp showed the footskills of an AFL player. He should get the chance to get his body right.
Whitecross was good by hand a couple of times.
From my memory in his first year Hodge came to the club with OP, did little pre-season, debuted about round 5, was asked to play on the half-forward flank by Schwab, got dropped back to the VFL, came back as a half-back flanker and finished sixth in the B&F, including getting more votes than any...
First I've seen of him. He looked like a wing player. If this is the case he could slot in nicely and with Ellis and Young give us three young wingmen.
On the whole our midfielders do not make good forwards.
We have some midfielders who can play a bit at half-forward. We need to balance the team with half-forwards who can play a bit in the middle.
So yeah I agree with your new thinking. From descriptions Rioli and Stokes appear the types...
Yeah I just don't like the colour. I thought we could have a decent clash guernsey using brown. Maybe we can, maybe we can't. It's not a bad design the current one, colour excepted for mine. I hope the kids like it and more importantly I hope it helps bring in more supporters.
Our gold clashes with West Coast's gold, blue and white so we wear white.
We don't need white in our clash jumper because we do not have a problem with a dark colour causing a clash. Our clash is the light colour - gold - which we are replacing with another light colour - white -...
It's a nice jumper but I don't think it is suitable for Hawthorn because
1. Jumpers are supposed to distinguish teams. A dark shade on the back and a majority light shade on the front is a poor design.
2. It doesn't represent our two colours very well.
3. I wouldn't want to see it with...
Re: The forward structure; have your say.
I saw Dew as a forward before Rioli and Stokes and before I saw his size. Now I think about it we will need two half-back/wing types to replace Smith and Ladson (if Ladson gets upgraded into the middle to make use of his run). So there should be...
Re: our young blokes....weaknesses??
Interesting. When I had a very brief look at a Box Hill match Tuck missed targets and Renouf kicked the ball and I don't know where it landed. I think that we do get a little excited over the younger players but its good to get the positive reports.
Re: Roughy = Sauce head Merritt
Could be some truth in that.
I think Dowler is a way off threatening to take anyone's spot. A Boyle/Thorp/Franklin tall set-up might work but even last year Croad spent time forward so Roughead will spend some good time forward in 2008.
It's a bit hard for me to imagine Robbie as a key defender. Same with the rest of the ruckmen. I'm pretty sure we rate run and use of the ball coming out of defence too highly to be playing these blokes down there permanently.
