Reckon Baker's been useless all year. Had a servicable game for his 200th. Should be left at that.
I used to love him but the poor bastard has been cursed by injury and the MRP.
Dawson is our best genuine defender, yeah serious. I think he works hard and bleeds almost as much as one MH used to...
A few weeks ago, I was fed up with this guy. Slow as all get out, wasn't sure if he could actually ruck. Sat night was so impressive, works his arse off. Great pack mark, good set shot, starting to ruck against better comp.
Re: Leon Davis, on track for AA honours again?
I've been calling Cloke a hack for a little while now. As of Sat night I'm just gonna hold my tongue. Was very impressive and a good mark and kick. Hurts, but we need someone like that.
Leon has to keep it up and he might be some chance.
I'm not here to defend GT, but your last statement is silly. Thomas was not the worst, simply not quite the best. Also Ross in 04/05/06 is equivalent to saying if we had Harvey playing in 09 or 2010. Wasn't going to happen.
Anyway, I still say we're a shot this year until it's mathematically...
Had we won the Prelim in 04, the lions would have had four in a row, had us over a barrel. In 05 we fell apart when Hall hit McGuire and I saw Fraser leave his post to make a point. As I remember we were lucky to be in front at 3/4 time.
I have no issue with Grant Thomas, more games out of...
Listened to the game on the wireless so my observations may be skewiff. I just wondered why we used our sub so early when we should have capitalised on the Hawks injuries with our rotations, was McQualter that disgusting?
There are so many options in threads to wank over the Magpies, I think Travis is in good form as are collingwood. Let us not get too carried away though. Cloke is a hack, the pies are very impressive. Collingwood supporters win this thread.
Next week we kick straight and get the season started by brushing aside the bombers. The ony player I was worried about tonight was Gilbert, looked out of sorts, he's better than that and so are we.
Yeah, the free for deliberate behind was given to Nick cos he was closest, and King ran into Nick following through from his mark, but you're spot on, beyond a joke.
I reckon pies played Ball as much in GF1 as Saints did in 09, but we don't need another Ball thread.
Dale Thomas is a jet, the media have laid right off.
I don't understand the love for Jon Brown, great player yep. Fair bonehead though.
Stephen Milne.
Was BOG in our critical win over the Cats for mine and solid and worked bloody hard against the Dogs and Pies. Ready to go one step further and make up for last years GF.
I like the analysis, thorough and well put together.
Just a little sick of copping our "lack of depth".
Last year(1st pos) we were so deep you couldn't see the bottom.
This year the pies(1st) have "incredible depth".
We are feilding an arguably better 22 and have suddenly lost depth.
Yeah Naah...
Non story, Thompson is right that the umps need to do their job. If they did last time SJ might not have smacked SB and SB might not have missed half a season.
No one won out of the umpires incompetence/ lack of accountability from the first bounce.
