It will be Keath coming in now instead of Buss, I know it :(
Keath / Lobb / Buku down back with a smaller forward line as Bevo hinted at in his post game presser. Would be very happy to be wrong.
Fantastic news with Buss resigning. Shows also that the culture and feel around the team is pretty good when even an interstate guy who is getting heavily pursued, playing well in the 2s and still not getting a run in the 1s is happy to stay for a few more years.
McNeil again, come on... Garcia would have been a much better in IMO.
Jones out for Buku is huge also. A Buku / Lobb / JOD 3 headed monster is not ideal for the biggest game of the year so far haha.
Not so much about being the cheap back up which is fine, but more so with needed list spots at the end of the year. Will lose one or two to trades, but would like to bring in some by trade and the 2-3 draft picks to turn the list over. McNeil's spot will be under heavy scrutiny for that reason...
looks like Norf have anticipated us going tall and have named a super tall backline. Have named Dawson, Pink, Comben who are all tall KPDs and also Corr who is 194cm but can play on mediums too. Doesn't look like they will have a ton of speed + run and carry out of their backline to worry about...
Garcia dropped is wild, I thought he has been excellent. Not even an emergency, must be more to it. Disciplinary or something else, that doesn't seem right.
I think last week we was 2-3 weeks and it seems like we often list an extra week in there, probably to avoid disappointment or panic if someone gets "delayed" in their return. Heard he was at full training this week so though he might be a chance to play.
I had a feeling Cody was going to be a test this week, hopefully he's done enough and passes all the requirements to get back in this week, huge in. Same with Ed if he can pass his tests.
Could get Harmes, Coffield and Naughton back first week after the bye but I imagine VFL for Coff and...
Did he? I missed that, was that brought up in the post game? Easy choice then for Buss to slide in. JOD can stay forward another week, did ok there mostly matched up with a pretty good defender.
Edit - Yep just saw it on twitter, will be very disappointed if Buss isn't in next week.
Too annoyed to think rationally about changes at the moment but agree with Busslinger in. Has earned a call up, give him a 4-5 game run at least to see what he has got and help to either convince him to stay or build some trade value.
Surely time to give Busslinger a few games. I don't really care who comes out, has had some solid form in the VFL and deserves a run in the ones. At worst it may help to build a bit of trade value if he is set on leaving.
Although wasn't a great time for us either, we got the Pies at the right time also without Pendles, De Goey, Mihocek, Elliot etc rather than in the earlier rounds when they were humming a bit more.
I just watched Bont win us the game from the middle, not sure I want to stick up forward as a permanent tall and have 105kg full backs smashing into him all game.
Love him resting forward and having a few spells there, but I still think he needs to spend a decent chunk of the game helping us...
The hope is, they grade it careless, low impact and high contact and gets away with a fine. The Walker one earlier in the year was a higher impact and Walker went off for a HIA test which didn't help. Howe went down holding his face, but got up and was ok, so low impact is what we need.
No I don't, but the AFL does. Have you not seen the incidents this year that every week when they pop up, people scream the game has gone soft and they are going to stop following footy? I hate it and don't think it should be a week, but I have seen a lot of similar ones where the player gets...
