    AFL CAIRNS - Season 2013

Powell is a triple premiership player for Hawks, '06, '07, '11. That should give you a hint if you read the rules again.

    AFL CAIRNS - Season 2013

As much as I hate to say it, he is probably the most desirable signature in Cairns. You can build a team around him and comes with the added bonus of no points. Wouldn't be playing for peanuts though.

    It's Luke Powell.

    Carlton vs Richmond

Some posters here need to watch the game and form their own opinions, not just go off what those absolute ****wits in commentary box say (Richo excluded). Clearly touched.

How far off is Scott Thompson from being elite?

Has done extremely well in North's backline this year, despite little help. On track for AA squad.

    Review Round 7- Review/Rant megathread

Congrats to the bulldogs. You guys played really well. Full credit goes to you because you caught us on the hop. Before the game I thought we were going to win but it wasn't going to be a mauling.

    Past #29: Brent Harvey - drafted w/ #47 in '95 ND - 432 games/518 goals for NM - AFL games record holder

North rely a lot on their experienced players such as Boomer, Spitter, Patchy, Basti, Dish, Ziebs, Wellsy and Azza. The younger blokes in the team have to step up and pull their fingers out.

This is all about game plan.

We need to stop handballing the ball so much. We are doing that too much. Kick the ball long into contests is the better option rather than farting around with the ball.

Need to hit the big boy cables and cheese pizzas. Some oats and hay wouldn't go astray either.

End of the road for Scott

The Melbourne MOD who voted first rate needs to grow up and pull his head in.

Scott: "I was happy with the players effort"

Good post. Lots of mutual respect between the players and Brad and it hit me like nobodies business, he isn't going to berate them in public. Having said that he didn't need to add so much mayo to the story, happy is a strong word in this case.

    Changes Vs Port

Has no think brain either. As soon as there is pressure, he turns to water (see his "handball" in the last). Anyone who has endurance and a dislike for contested situations could play his role.

Needs to grow up. Worries more about the umpires than actually chasing. Nothing wrong with working hard and having a bad day but i thought some of his efforts today were lacking.

Scott: "I was happy with the players effort"

Is that quote straight from the horse's mouth? They executed the game plan Scott and his little helper's have devised but you can't say that after a loss like this. Ballarat footy league teams would have better skills and probably have a Plan B after it was revealed in the first quarter that...

    AFL Cairns - 2011 Season Part 2

Players that are as tall, agile and quick as Wardle are rare as hens teeth. Tackles like a madman, was told that basically in all games this year he was in the top 3 for tackles. Anyone who has seen him play knows they aren't token tackles either, he hits hard for such a young bloke.

    AFL Cairns - 2011 Season Part 2

Only Cities can really say that this far out from 2012. I would be surprised if Saints capitulated under Powell, he seems like he'll be a good coach and Norths should continue on the improve. However if i was at Centrals i wouldn't have been stoked with Chris Adams given the stories and what...

    AFL Cairns - 2011 Season Part 2

It's hilarious, if anyone offers any view that is less than glowing of Souths, he flys off the handle. However he then goes and tips the reigning premiers to come second last next year. Will you be game to back up your claim with a carton on every game Souths and Hawks play next year...

    AFL Cairns - 2011 Season Part 2

That is all likely true, but they still pay players. I met a bloke who had moved up to Cairns because of family and was offered 250 a game at Saints, yet being one of the most injury riddled player i'd ever met he didn't play this year. Can't confirm if he was offered a sub deputy vice back up...

He is most definitely 0 points then. Players with 8 or more years of service are allowed to switch clubs without any points being applied.

Billy English would be one point, maybe even 0 depeding on how long he has been at Souths. http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?client=1-3392-0-0-0&sID=55258&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=11257724&sectionID=55258
