Adelaide - Chokers MkII
Brisbane - The Leigh Matthews' curse finally coming to fruition.
Carlton - Filth. Deserve everything they are getting.
Collingwood - Shut up Eddie! And the rest of you get some dentures.
Essendon - Arrogant bandwagoners with coach well past his use by date
Fremantle...
Could be, yes.
But...
Saints game is indoors, under the balmy lights of TD. As is the Weagles game in couple of weeks. So no rain there regardless of the weather outside (unless the roof leaks)
and we also have 2 games in Adelaide.
On mentioning the Tuck/Saints comparison to a mate who is a saints fan he reminded me that there are only 2 teams that the saints have a better W/L ratio.
And they are?
University and the Bulldogs. That's why they kicked out University and not Saints!
Van Berlo - super coach. John O'Neil from Soccer Australia should be looking to sign him as the Socceroos coach immediately!
Of course VB will still be able to ghost coach Adelaide and continue with his AFL career. Will probably also come into the Socceroos side as a striker.:)
Fantastic but I love this one
Richmond would be Annabel Chong - can cop a pounding and keep coming
back for more, all in the name of self-improvement.
Perfect assessment!:D
Glad to hear it.
As you note, Eddie has done a lot for Collingwood...dug them out of a pretty big hole, quickly.
He's not my favourite person in the world, in fact he annoys me quite a lot but I do admire his drive and ability to get things done.
Like you I get bored with all Eddie...
Indeed. I just wonder what all these bandwagoners will be saying next year when Eddie has gone?
I have my suspicions that it will still be his fault that the Pies:
a) have too much money
b) have all the televised games
c) never travel
d) have too many fans
e) play crap teams twice a year...

It shows that the gap between rich and poor teams is pretty big...the Swans spent $4.75 million more on players and their football department than did the Kangaroos.

Speaking of rich and poor clubs, this article has some interesting figures on who spends most on what...Looks like the Swans, Pies and Wet Toast top the list with Essendon not far behind!
Re: Halfway through the season and C'wood have travelled interstate once! What a joke
9 (or 7) interstate trips when there are only 6 interstate teams?
That Melbourne teams sell home games that they have to play 'away' is up to them. Saints and Hawthorn can play in Tassie if they want to...
Re: Halfway through the season and C'wood have travelled interstate once! What a joke
Unfairly advantaged?! This is one of the weirdest statements I've seen.
What should be done about it?
Do you reckon the number of Collingwood fans coming through the gates should be...
Re: Halfway through the season and C'wood have travelled interstate once! What a joke
We can argue until we're blue in the face over this.
The Vic origins of the AFL will always ensure that Vic teams don't have to travel. However, lets leave travelling aside for a minute and focus...
