Millane was a thug. Saw him knock out a bloke with his plaster cast from behind in Launceston one night when on the fizz with Mick McGuane only to be promptly whisked away by Police to his hotel........... not the station. Prison bars were the correct colour for him to wear.
Another reason to go then! A top 5 finish would be his best Brownlow polling/playing season ever. In the last 5 or more years he has hardly troubled the scorers during the count.
As a proud Taswegian that post brought a tear to my eye and I am reserved about how we will go. BTW the word Taswegian as just been patented and is now on the label of a gin distillery near home. Very nice too.
This. We need to be competitive in order for the young group to build confidence and hope next season. Give Sam a season with our senior players on board and an opportunity to see what he can do with the young list we have.
The last thing a new coach needs is the increased burden of heavy...
Love this. A terrifically well balanced side. Strong defensively and strong offensively. Crawf, Smith out wide with Hill on the pine, wow! Ball winners everywhere. Versatility in spades with Burgers, Gunston, Lewis, Hodge, Bigboy, Hale. That forward line that would kill you every week...
He was a kid and played 24 games while Rough was at the club and never played in 2015. Not quite the same. Did not count 2019 either as Rough was cooked. TOB has not played as a mature player (50 games) in a Hawks forward line with with quality KPFs.
Yep I think the Tas. footy elites have their heads in the clouds. It is not just footy either. On the NW Coast there are 50 year olds still opening the batting in A Grade, at country clubs. The kids are not there for whatever reason.
I was in the NT when this article was Page 1 in the paper. Was standard fare. Could not wait to read it each morning. Strange place at times the NT. (Apologies for text quality buts its worth a read for the lols super crazy).
Loved watching Harvey run his guts out or the Saints every game. Harvey and Crawford at the time were the best skilled gut runners going around and great blokes to boot. Happy to have him on board.
Seems a pretty logical set of circumstances in reality. Just the way it unfolded played out poorly. I think the club believed the handover would work, going forward but it just did not pan out that way.
Yeah I agree. I only took a look at Riewoldt's mark after seeing TOB's by way of comparison. Bias aside that Riewoldt mark is a ripper. No shame coming second to that.
Bolton's should have been a very distant 3rd to Jack and TOB's imo. Lower on the courage scale for starters.
Not sure why someone would laugh at this. Shane Ellen had never played full forward in his life until the1997 gf. Good coaching, a hunch or good luck? You get lucky sometimes. 5 in a gf? If Modra had not been injured never would have happened.
Thought I might have look at him after your post. Loves body contact. Went missing in a lot of Freos games but they certainly pumped games into him this year. Hale would have loved is aggression I suspect. Copped a hefty early season suspension as well...
