Paul Williams is the one who sticks out for me. Started following the footy in the early 90s and he was one of my early faves. Very sad when Daicos left and Micky Mcguane was another. Losing a great player and entertainer like Leon won't sink in until we start playing next year...

We play 11 home games (2 at Etihad funnily enough) just like everyone else, the rest are away games. Not our fault all the other Melbourne clubs want to get a home game against us to boost their coffers.

yeah right, I seem to recall a thrashing the year before. Look the don's will come out breathing fire, we need to absorb the pressure and then grind them down. Lets make no mistake though, they aren't Geelong or St kilda so lets not fear them.

I hope the players learnt the lesson against Melbourne, that no team in this competition should be underestimated. I feel some of the supporters are getting a little cocky, but that's ok I guess so long as the players don't start thinking the same.

If whoever putst the video's on bigpond reads this, would it be possible to also put the mark the goal kicker takes on the video as well? Just watching the player line up for a set shot is a little dull and I was looking forward to see Dawesy take a few contested marks.

What is going on with JA and those pushing decisions? Some are there, but I think the umpires are sweating off him everytime and are ignoring any pushing done by the defender. Perhaps he needs to just focus on playing in front and forget about trying to outbody his opponenet.

Don't see anything AFL in him to be honest. Seems to turn the ball over fairly regularly and will be exposed in finals. I'll watch the game again, but I do recall a couple of times last night where he had me pulling out my hair.

I'm not as sceptical as above poster. I am thinking Medhurst could be relieved of his forward line responsibilities and become a close to full time midfielder, he is after all very strong over the ball (Medhurst that is).

If the AFL are hellbent on keeping priority picks why not do the following. Teams that make the finals the year before are ineligible for a priority pick the following year. If the AFL are determined to even out the talent pool amongst the clubs then they might need some mechanism of boosting...
