Here's the KP Defender we've been looking for.

I agree with BP on this one...the romace of putting a ruckman in a key post and seeing him dominate is just that...romance. It rarely ever eventuates at all. Hampson as a pinch hitting tactic down forward maybe yes - as a defender, a big :thumbsd:

    Ratten's comments

CHB should suit setanta...untill opposition forwards expose him by dragging him deep into our backline. Worth a punt though.

    Trade Week Wash Up

 totally disagree re: your comments on white. Stepped up to alf level immediately and will be an extremely valuable defensive asset who can play on talls or mid forwards...definate plus :thumbsu:

Dogs chase Blues star Andrew Walker

Aren't new draftees tied to their club for a minimum two years? Doesn't this mean Talia has 1 more year at the Crows?

Our Draw Isn't As Easy As You Think

Unless we are playing Richmond, Melbourne or Freo every week - then every game in any scenario will be tough!! Blues are up for it!! :thumbsu:

Changes for Round 2 v Brisbane

you make some valid points, but he must be able to defend first, then use his skills...pinpointing passes is terrific, but having your forward spank you isn't. Perhaps he's better suited to being the loose man in defence as oppossed to being responsible for a forward.

Changes for Round 2 v Brisbane

Johnson looked very uncomfortable and panicky playing in the Blues's defence - Morton spanked him. He has good disposal, but is a meek defender...I'd think Walker is a much better option

Do we need to recruit some tough guys in the next draft ?

Hawthorn are younger than Carlton...they just won a flag. They draft players who can win their own footy, and kick well. They also overdrafted for KPP in the hope a few of them will cut it. Hopefully Wayne Hughes remembers this when he sizes up our next 6'1 running outside flanker who cant...

CHER- If you could turn back time....

93' GF team selection....I would include Peter Dean and Kouta, and drop 2 of Athorn/Scholl/Powell
  16. DonFletch

    Eddie Betts

Eddie is forever improving which is great...but he definantly isn't a premier crumber...he's as good a crumber as Cloke is a CHF - B-grade. However i suspect we haven't seen his best footy yet :thumbsu:
  17. DonFletch

    Garlett or Yarran

Garlett is exciting...but can't kick. Yarran.
  18. DonFletch

What's the current status with Jordan Bannister ?

    Greg Bentley

He's a Datsun not a Bentley! Has the physique of a Lance Whitnall Has the hands of a Mark Athorn Has the disposal of a Carrazzo

    Jefferey Garlett

Height is not Richmonds weakness down back (moore, mcguine, thursfield etc)....their major weakness is - FOOTBALL :thumbsu:
  21. DonFletch

    cloke

I couldn't agree more. People thinking he can kick between 30-40 from CHF are dreaming - that was Earl's output in 95', and Cloke aint no Duke!! ...but I wish him well. :thumbsu:

    Toast The mature Cameron Cloke

He works hard to get the best out of himself, but quite simply he's not good enough. The same issues still remain as a ruckman - not tall enough, as a KPP too slow and immobile. That said, I do hope he proves me wrong because I admire his effort.

  26. DonFletch

    Wiggler v Fisher

Probably Wiggins for team balance. Playing HFF, the majority of the workload is working up for the long lead. If Fisher is playing below par...where else can he play to help the team out?? We are effectively a man down. Wiggins probably has more versatility to help out as a mid/HBF if he is not...

News Six degrees of rehabilitation for Fisher

We need him to bring more to the table than well barbered facial hair... Fish is a very valuable forward when up and running, but there is a danger picking blokes that can only play in one spot on the park...it's ok if they are A-graders...he needs to be alot better more often Fire up...

    Chris Johnson Video

Oh didn't he?? It's players who use this as an excuse (as oppossed to improving their weaknesses) which worry me the most...it's not always someone else's fault..... good luck to him though...:thumbsu:

[/B] ...and imagine if Mark Athorn wasn't such a dud in 1993... etc... etc... what if's are irrelavent, to dwell in that element is to dwell in a w***er's paradise.
