I stand corrected. I still believe our season will be decided by R21, and well before that, but hope I am wrong. My point still stands regarding the lack of equity in home ground advantage against interstate clubs vs interstate games, and it puts us behind the 8 ball every year.
In determining how I think we will perform for the season, I go straight to home games against interstate sides compared to interstate trips. To the end of R21 we play interstate 7 times, and have one home game against interstate clubs.
Like this year, it will cost us again, and I predict...
Whether or not is entering a contest at excessive speed, or something similar, I believe there is something in this issue that has not really been addresed in most of the commentary in the Clark/McKay incident.
Everyone seems to be saying McKay was "going for the ball", but at the pace he was...
Presumably we were not even going to offer Hind a contract. If other teams don't use picks, we might jump up to around the 50 mark, and use the picks on someone we think worth adding to the list
If Hickey plays a senior game at swans will beat Giles, who only played AFL games for 3 (no senior games at Port). Always thought Hickey would be a record setter
Not just AFL's decision, the AFLPA heavily involved, and an agreement not yet arrived at. I completely agree that it would be better resolved ASAP, but more than one party contributing to the decision making.
Good get, but didn't play a senior game at Port
I'm not so much worried by Treloar's injury history. My issue is with his disposal. he is a quality ball winner, but is a terrible ball user. Overall a valuable asset, but I can't think of anyone else in the history of the game earning $900k...
Between carlisle's back and hip, I think he has 20-30 AFL games left in him. Just my hunch, but I know the hip injury of 3-4 years ago was a real battle for him, and the amount of work he needed every week to get through training and playing is likely to wear him down at some point.
I don't...
Can you clarify if we are a 50% chance of getting him, or is that 50% chance of NOT getting him. Just want to be sure of the numbers before I have a bet with a mate
Has anyone posted that Richmond should win as for at least the last 5 times we have made the finals, and won a final, we have been beaten by the team that went on to be premiers. this would be the 6th in a row - 2004 Port, 2005 swans, 2008 hawks, 2009 cats (obviously) and 2010 (pies).
Add in our loss to Geelong in our first final for many years in 1991. Even plugger missed a set shot from the edge of the goalsquare. Ablett knocked out Nathan Burke early in the game (he had a different playing style to jnr!), and we put up a mighty fight, but just couldn't edge them...
This, along with a shocker from the inferior Riewoldt that leaves him with nightmares for years to come.....and to think I don't usually crave seeing people miserable......rabid Tiger in-laws do that to you.
To put the Power at ease, there is no evidence to suggest that we will ever get a fair run or better from the umpires whilst playing in either Adelaide or Perth
