Tossing up between Pittard and Irons for the last mid bench spot. Irons is cheaper and I've read that he will have better job security but I'm not sure. Atley and Libba are other options but I'm not sure either these guys are going to get many games.
This, big time. Grundy seems like the safe choice though..
And this. Although with the above, maybe it makes sense to go Grundy/McKernan (who can DEF/FWD with each other)?
Re: Round 21 Trades
$30k, 1 trade left.
I'm thinking of subbing Pav into the middle for Goodes and then trading
Pav -> any midfielder under $419k.
Options: Jordan Lewis, Jude Bolton..Ben McGlynn..Jason Gram?? Gram is only priced at $338k but might be good with two easy games coming up and...
Re: Round 19 Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion
So does that mean Brown is going to get tripled teamed? Fyfe named in the middle but yeah, I agree, he'll probably play in the forward line thanks to Balla out.
Still doesn't help me decide though :P Toss a coin maybe?
Is it worth making a massively sideways trade to get myself some bench cover? Barlow's withdrawal killed me last week.
I have only $6,500 in the bank and 7 trades left.
Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Malceski, Harbrow, Shaw, Maguire (Webberley, Roberton)
Ablett, Swan, Bartel, Gibbs, Watson, Barlow...
Really doubt it's true. I can't think of any possible "exploits" which aren't legitimate strategies. If there was a real programming exploit, they would patch it.
Removing it midseason would also remove any legitimacy to the 2010 season and would be an absolute disaster. VS won't do it.
Re: Round 9 - Trades
I've only got $1,100 in the bank, but have to trade out Gram because he's injured. Only 9 trades left but my team is nearly there, apart from one forward upgrade.
Hodge, Goddard, Enright, Gilbee, Malceski, Shaw, Hunt (Nason,Roberton)
GAJ, Montagna, Bartel, Cooney...
Similar to the above, Swan ($569k) or Judd ($601k)? Swan being $30k cheaper at the moment is very tempting, but Carlton have a good run and Judd gets a lot of contested ball. Current midfield is GAJ, Montagna, Bartel, Cooney, Barlow and Gram (who I'm trading for either Swan or Judd).
Re: Round 8 Trades
Yep, I know ;) Rockliff to cover Pods, and hence the Medhurst trade to cover the 0. Moved him on SC but not on my spreadsheet! Thanks for looking out for me though
Re: Round 8 Trades
Waters or Hunt to Webberley
Medhurst to Higgins
I'll probably go Waters because he's hit his BE. Covers the 0 for Medhurst (thanks to TDL still not playing, I was sure he'd get a game by now). I was going to upgrade Medhurst anyway at some point and Higgins is reliable...
I'm in kind of the same position, ranked around 440 in SC (and 781 in DT), but I've only got 11 trades left. I'm not trading this week but there's a real question as to whether I should just do the upgrades I can do now and just hope for the best. I guess it depends on how much crap your mates...
Re: Round 8 Trades
Probably going to go:
Waters to Webberley, Nason to Heater
leaving the backline as: Hodge,Goddard,Enright,Malceski,Gram*,Shaw,Hunt (Webberley,Roberton)
or
Nason to Webberley, Hunt to Grimes.
Hodge,Goddard,Enright,Malceski,Gram,Grimes,Waters (Webberley,Roberton)...
Yeah, I've got Gibbs so I might just scrape through.
As for Nason, no I wasn't expecting that much, was hoping he'd get to 60-65 against Adelaide though. One more kick and mark could have sealed it for me ;)
Re: Round 8 Trades
Agreed. I'm so tempted to do my first sideways trade of the year and get rid of either Goodes or Cooney for Chappy but there's not much point really. With Hunt and Waters still as starters in my backline they are more pressing upgrades, but it hurts everytime Chappy gets a...
