Also feeling a club will get in for Pierce ahead of us.. wouldn’t be shocked if GWS have an interest.

Any highly touted ruckman available in the draft if Pierce is taken?

Remember the momentum and when we had Brown, Jones and Smith, then Rooey and the 2000s kids. I'm absolutely starved for some of that. Right now it feels like an old car the gets on a roll, then stalls a bit, then rolls down hill a bit more then chucks a few puffs of smoke and stalls again.

I'm not writing him off. But I've dialled his odds way out.

On what basis though? Played one season of afl after an apparently hectic season the year he was drafted playing an extra amount of footy. Maybe he was just stuffed.

He ran an Olympic qualifying time. Twice in a row.

But started at a time when we had no one else to play there. It's a bit tighter for spots now.

I laugh at this ‘Gresham needs to lift’ notion that people keep sprouting.

Not many 2nd year players had a better year than Gresh & a bloke like Jesse Hogan had only 3 more shots at goal in his 2nd year (44.19) than Gresh (30.30) did in his 2nd year.

Gresh is fine, will be a jet, just needs to kick straighter for goal IMHO. Will end a a multiple times AA for mine

I'm referring to AA form. If he was to push out someone he'd have to have a lot of improvement. The small forward spots are going to guys like Betts and they usually stack the flanks with extra mids or Robbie Grey types that do both. He's not far of being one of our very best players, doesn't mean he's elite yet. Billings looks a the closer to AA of the two at this point.

Ive got a feeling that in a couple of yrs time Billings will be our best player by a country mile.
Yeah we have other good kids but Billings seems to have a bit more class.

I would be astonished if another club took Tom Lamb onto their rookie list tomorrow. I'd be mildly surprised if we do, but I reckon no other club will touch him, especially an interstate club.

I'd like to see him on our list, worth a try, no real risk unless there's another rookie we really like available, Lamb might pay off big time.
