Worth pointing out Bonar tested poorly in the 2km and Yo-Yo tests. Needs to polish up his skills too.

Yeah he's a project player with a real could be anything feel about him. You can't help projecting with guys like him. I'm fantasising about him becoming a hybrid of Nic nat and Charlie Curnow but he's probably more a Jimmy Gwilt with bad kicking.

I have never rated Petracca particularly highly but my melbourne mates do. I have watched Melbourne play games when the Saints aren't involved even and can't see him do much but a couple of eye catching things a game but he's the third highest rated player by position as a small forward according to the Shick AFL player rankings. Only Greene and Betts are above him so he must do lots of the invisible stuff. Those rankings are like star signs I'm pretty sure but the numbers are assigned on something.

I've no doubt he is going to be a star, just that at that stage haven't seen him do it so for those saying we should have gone with Petracca, well for me it doesn't make too much difference to our current position. We'll know in about 5 years.

Interesting RE his data though, when he is in the game he must be more impactful than it seems.

So we can get Bonar + O'Brien + Tall Defender.

GWS punishment over the Whitfield affair means Richmond has 15 and 17.

Don't think that trade will happen though (even if we use 7). Too much in our favour.

We’ve been rebuilding under Richo since 2014. 3 years isn’t long enough clearly.

What’s not to like?

Yep.........hit absolute rock bottom in 2014.......an absolute horror year.

We were considered to be such a poor.....no crap side....a few in the media publicly stated that we wouldn't win any games in 2015....that's a huge call......and most tipped us to win the spoon again......that's how bad we were considered to be talent wise...

We surprised everyone and won 6.5 games that year and surprised again with 12 in 2016.

It's a steep haul back.....not perfect....but we're about where I thought we would be...maybe a little ahead from when the "big plan" came out.

You can only add/delete so many players each year and the 2014 draft is hurting us(with no one from that draft up and running) at the moment IMO.
