Please don’t let goat be involved
Where the hell is he going to play now though!?

If he wasn't getting regular midfield/wing minutes this year, or after he got injured last year, it's going to be harder for him once Hill and Jones are added, and Blake was essentially playing as the 3rd marking target a lot of the time, and if King and Ryder come in, Skunk will take that role, so it leaves Blake without an obvious role. Except maybe high-HF.

As a person who has dealt with severe mental health issues, I don’t think what I have said is unreasonable.
Well you should be fully aware of how potentially hard things like staying in shape and coping with everyday life is.. let alone just getting out of bed in the morning. I think what you said was pathetic.

OK here's my Saints Trade Tracker.

1: Get Reamed by the Cats for Steven. Pending. ( Pick 58 for Jack and part of Salary )
2: Get Reamed by the Dogs for Bruce . Pending ( Pick in the 30's for 35 goal a year key forward )
3: Get Reamed by Fremantle. Pending ( Two first rounders for Hill ).
4: Get Reamed by Port Adelaide Not looking likely, possibly a decent trade .
5: Get Reamed by Sydney Not looking likely.

Agreed. I don't see a role for him in the best 22 now. The only way he turns it around in my opinion is if Ratts is his biggest fan at puts him in the guts and plays Gresham forward mostly. That seems unlikely based on the six weeks of Ratts we saw already.

You just described my life.

I will say this - if we do give pick 58 for Jack we need to go the dogs and give them the finger and say "you want Bruce, give us 13, otherwise no deal"

I’m actually in the camp of good riddance to jack Steven.

He has had his issues this year and we have been I believe more then accomodating and how does he repay us.

Shows up in horrific shape for an afl footballer driving his own value down

Really selfish in my opinion

My thoughts precisely. Now we need to get good and start beating Geelongs ass!

Keep in mind this year's draft is literal dog shit.

So yeah losing Steven and Bruce for that is a genuine reaming, but getting Hill, the Port boys and Jones should be a pretty good return.

LOL the dees are smashing it this trade period - pick 3 and 8 now

I have long been a fan of Geelong and have family ties to them so have always been a club I liked but if it is pick 58 for Steven then I am incredibly disappointed.

They will have effectively manipulated the situation to exploit St Kilda's support for Jack's mental health. They have created a narrative through the commentary from Scott and Wells over the past month that they are doing Jack a favour by taking him on and implying that he is not a real target of theirs.

Won't forget this.
That’s what really gets me the most too! They’ve courted Jack for years. And now he desperately wants to go there, they’re acting like they’re doing him and us a massive favour by taking him on.

The problem is if we let Steven go last year, we then needed experienced player/s to come in and help us right away.. unfortunately last year we were not the destination club like we are today, so trading out Steven last year would only mean we go draft some 18 year old.

Having multiple picks in last year’s draft would have been fantastic

That would be a major win.
Agreed - I hope this is true and like I've said all along, I reckon it will be.

Man I'm antsy as **** waiting for this!!!!

It's polite to use lube when you're reaming someone. Discourteous buggers aren't even offering.
Why are you guys taking it? Understand you probably need to shed some $$$ to fit all the incoming in, but really?

Maybe they have further swaps in mind. They’ll be without a first next year, so more difficult for trades. If they sneak finals then reasonably even, but if they aren’t great again then Roos do well.

There are now under ninety minutes remaining in the WA morning - WHEN will we know this deal?

ITK's just tell us what it is. I was bullshitting last night, I know literally **** all

honestly, no.

love Jack he’s a champion of our club who powered through some tough years.

be pi**ed for a short time at Geelong, then move on.

best way to deal with it.
I know mate was just a joke. good luck to Jack. **** Geelong, but I hope Jack gets his life back on track and plays some good football. he'll always be a Sainter at heart

Maybe you're right but I'm way too cynical to believe an AFL club is taking on board for selfless reasons and to look after the interests of that player. They see him as playing a role with them, I'm pretty confident.
Well yeah but I reckon they probably also think he will have a limited influence given the pick offered. There's a lot of risk with Jack, and if it were us I'm sure nobody would want us dealing a pick in the low 30's or high 20's.

They might just be doing right by Jack and right by their football club. I know we are all biased but if you think about it, he is unfit and has had an interrupted year because of his struggles outside of football. If we were bringing in a player like that I would have concerns too. He is 30 and probably has at most 3 good years left in him. Wether he plays is a other story and the biggest risk Geelong are taking.

Not sure about that. He requested a trade last year but apart from that I haven't heard anything. Plus why would they need a player like Jack? Ablett Selwood Dangerfield not enough? I even question how he fits into the side.
I even question how he fits into the side

I question how he fits into his pants
