If we traded into Dogs pick, would Talia upgrade that to one of Essendon's sub 10s? Seems like a lot, but Dodoro seems to value players over picks. At least when selling he does.
It's possible, but with Harto going I'd doubt very much that Talia would be too

In a package with pick he would
Enough of your street corner whispers already, Hartigan wouldn't have been let go if there was any truth to it.
Simply no logic in letting Talia go...none.

Bernie Vince came out with his best 22 players who chose to leave the Crows in the last 10 years earlier in the week, which seemed like a pretty good side. Thought I'd compare that to the best 22 that chose to join the Crows in the same period (age joined, games played and goals scored shown underneath). Those that joined probably aren't quite as strong, but it's not a bad side either.

100+ games
Out: Gunston (194), Davis (148), Danger (115), Vince (100)
In: Jacobs (184), Brown (150), Jenkins (147), Lynch (133), Betts (132)

100+ goals
Out: Gunston (378), Tippett (137)
In: Betts (310), Jenkins (296), Lynch (185)

Yes, slow Sunday.

The team of players in is horrible in comparison to the team of players out

Yes, slow Sunday.

Not sure Brown and McAdam should count as they were never really at another club. Fancy Hartigan not making the 22.

Both Brown and McAdam were pre-selected by other teams befote being traded. They could have refused the trade, but agreed to go to Adelaide.

Hartigan is on Vince, but not sure how many games he has to go.

Well this text message, combined with Talia coming out on Channel 7 (or similar) and indicating he wanted to see out his new contract, and fight for another one, should put the rumour to bed!

Yes, slow Sunday.

There are a number of players on the "out" list who did jack shit after they got traded -

Knights, Bock, Jenkins, Tippett, Jacobs, CEY, and one could argue McKernan was a 'filler' for 5 years.

Betts did very little at Carlton this season, proving that we let him go at the right time of his career.

And for the coin McNuggets, Keath, and Lever are on, they'd need to have an All-Australian type season or two before they hang up the boots.

Of those that left - the ones that really hurt are Charlie Cameron and Jack Gunston.

Bernie was a loss team-culture wise. Lyons was surplus to our midfield needs. Henderson was borderline best 22 for us and had a free ride in a dominant Hawthorn team for a couple of seasons. And Greenwood was disappointing.

Dangerfield we all knew was going, and gave us 100% service to the very end.

Until we didn't get two firsts for him

The only guys older than 24 who should be considered locks are ROB, McAdam, Smith, Laird, Talia and Crouch imo. Sloane maybe as well. Tex, Lynch and so on should be struggling for a spot as far as I'm concerned. Need to continue blooding players and Worrell should be first on the list.
