Higgins is very good but would we better getting midfield games & minutes into Clark - Bytell and Cadwell

By the way will trust what ever club does after last years effort, just my preference to go with the younger ones
Could quite easily see Higgins on the half forward flank, as good as he is on ball for North. But yes either way he takes a spot off someone potentially.

So who are we putting on the trade table this year and who will be told to look elsewhere?
There are a number who didn't get a look in this year. Do a majority of them look elsewhere or do we hold a number back for next year?
For a start
Dunstan
DMAC

Told to look elsewhere but contracted

Webster
Savage
Roberton
Joyce
Austinn

will be told to look elsewhere or delisted

Lonie will ask to be traded to the Bulldogs
Carlisle will go to Cats or Hawks

Cameron would be the cream to top off the list - but we still need the meat and potato's midfielder to help Steele

Cream, yes but my preference would be for a 'moneyball' (sorry to use the cliche but it's apt) pick up in this position seeing as the vacancy I'm referring to is only going to open up in 2022 (injuries permitting). It would be far from ideal to have one of Ryder, Marshall, King, Membrey, and (insert gun key forward recruit), playing reserves. It's also not feasible to have them all in the team at once.

My preference is to pick up 2 or 3 potential back-ups (e.g. Paddy McCartin), and let them fight it out in 2021 for the position in the VFL, then we'll be in a good place.

Wonder what we would get for Lonie and Carlisle. Must have a potential back coming in you would think, especially with us moving a few on.

Whilst Barrett is drawing a long bow.

we are looking at another tall forward option as a need.
I can see why we’d want another tall. Someone like Gunston would be a better fit. More versatile and can play as the first, second or third target in a forwardline. Is a lovely field kick and can get up the ground.

To me we need some top end talent to go from a 4th to 10th type of team and become a regular finals threat team. If you could take Cameron and play him along with King you just have to get it done. This is an elite player. Getting Jack Watts instead of Wayne Carey doesn't do it for me, if you can get superstars in you get them in. Geelong could have looked past Danger or someone a bit cheaper but I doubt they regret it. We'd have some serious firepower. Melbourne and Collingwood would jizz themselves to have either him or King let alone both.

The only interest we should have in observing the Brown process is what they are interested in receiving for him, as it might guide some of the other players of interest such as Higgins. Would personally be watching the Polec process closer for Higgins price comparisons but anyway.
That Tom Brown said Higgins would most probably be on Abletts money and he said somewhere between 300k and 400k , on that he would be worth getting

Hawks would want 2 firsts. JC is only cash.

If you can get Cameron you get him , he is a better target than Membery , I hate to say.

Sounds like J.Battle

Of course I agree that Cameron makes our team a whole lot better, but list management is a zero sum game and my preference (in a perfect world) is for an elite midfielder plus King and Membrey rather than a GOP midfielder with King and Cameron.

That said, in an imperfect world where we cannot land anyone of note in our midfield, then yes by all means bring in Cameron.
