Come to us Whitty my boy.
We’re what is known in AFL circles as a Destination Club.
I predict another haul of trades, a split of the first round pick and set us up for the 2021 draft which looks great. 2020 not much of a draft with the NGA. Jamarra will be a superstar and the Dogs get him for free even though he boards at Scotch College 😡

2020 The Prodigal Son Returns

Fremantle and St Kilda have completed a trade that's sure to send shockwaves throughout the footy community. In a surprising move, the dockers have agreed to send Blake Acres back to St Kilda, in exchange for versatile backman Daniel McKenzie. The sudden decision to trade Acres is certain to raise eyebrows, as it comes less than 12 months after his arrival in Fremantle. In his 1st season as a docker, Acres had impressed many, finishing 5th in the bnf, averaging 26 disposals and kicking 32 goals. It was quite a remarkable achievement for the big bodied midfielder, considering he missed the first 6 games of the season due to illness(allergic reaction to all things purple). The trade is sure to shock the Freo faithful, as, the form of Acres was one of the few highlights to take from a truly abysmal year, one in which the wooden spooners only managed 2 wins.

Commenting after the deal was signed off, Freo football boss Peter Bell was adamant it was a win for the club. "Blake performed well in his one season with us but we felt Daniel offers a point of difference that we don't have on our list. We're thrilled to sign Dmac as we've always rated and admired him from afar. His improvement this year has been massive and that's clear when you consider his best ever finish in the recent St Kilda bnf, 15th."

Fremantle and St Kilda have completed a trade which has surprised many within the industry. The dockers will receive backman Daniel McKenzie while sending Blake Acres back to the saints in a straight swap. The trade comes as quite a shock to many considering Acres had just finished 5th in the dockers bnf, less than 12 months after his trade from the saints. In a bleak year for the club, one which they finished wooden spooners with only 2 wins, Acres had been one of fremantle's few shining lights.

If Dmac can finish 15th in the BnF from the VFL, he's done well. I don't want to contemplate the injury list if he's actually playing AFL

My hopes:

Secure a FA
Don't trade away any future picks (we can't keep going into trade period starting in deficit)
Get a gun with pick 18 ;)

Hopefully Clark becomes that true inside/outside mid we have been missing

Can someone tell me how many spots we have left on out list and as gaggs said he expects to take 3 in the draft... Is that including Joyce and what about rookies? As I see it we lost 3 in trade 5 delisted though one was Sam Rowe who was a injury replacement as was mayo and marsh.
So as I assume most of us are confused about this can anyone explain what we have to do before and after this draft ?

Not sure if 100% up to date but a good guide

(Hasn't been updated - Paddy still with Port)

Luke Ryan is an excellent young defender and gets a lot of the ball. Excellent disposal efficiency at 81%. Effective disposals at 16 with only Ross and Billings beating him from our team. Ranked second in the AFL for intercepts. Go home factor as well as he's from Melbourne. Smaller version of Brian Lake imo.

Talking of contracts we need to get Steele and Battle resigned pronto.

3 NGA prospects to choose form next year and a F/S. The year after both of Scott West’s twins are eligible as well as Luke Darcy’s son. Time times down at the kennel.

A bit like Croad coming back to play in the Hawks premiership.
Pencil it in, Premiers 2021! 😁
