I’ll be honest, I don’t really give a toss what we pay him because I’m sure Gags our banker will know what he’s doing.

I reckon after all the back and forth, it's gonna be pretty boring.
I reckon the daniher deal has showed that the AFL are in a generous compo mood this year.
Our original offer was probably 650 x 4.
Then the daniher compo came in at not far off that... so we've just kicked in an extra 50k a year so (unless the AFL want to screw the crows)- 700x4 for brad will get adelaide pick 2 and it goes smoothly and we can go into trade week without an extra distraction.

If they haven't managed to secure band 1 compo, then I reckon we will hear about it tomorrow.
If they have managed to rig the draft then expect it to be called on Wednesday, along with a truck load of fabricated stuff about "a tough choice", "with some regret", after careful consideration", etc., etc.
Adelaide's conduct has been deplorable. Dangling a club best & fairest & a man who actually wanted to stay as a piece of draft meat, is disgraceful conduct.
I just hope the Saints didn't buckle, and if Adelaide match they either end up with him or he walks to the PSD for nothing.
I fully expect it to be 700k , which is what he is worth , doubt it will be anything more.
If they match move on and use it else where.
700 x 4 with triggers for 5 will work for me.
Hanners wont get his trigger 5th, and some other big contracts like Duncan's coming off the books. SC will be OK.

No doubt, but Hawthorn & Gold Coast also, along with the wilting integrity of the entire drafting system.
It's a shambles, and this would probably be the final nail.

If Adelaide get pick 2 for a 10 game per year player they will be making out like bandits.
Maybe we shouldn't trade Webster for a 4th, we should see try and find a way to get him to forfeit his contract and get signed on the same coin as a free agent, should get a late first going by Crouch and Daniher.
What's the general consensus Snake? I am not trolling or being an arseh*le, but relocation to Tassie. If it was Saints would rather than than no St.Kilda.

Clubs have managed to rort a poor system. Both Essendon and Brisbane will think they've had a win and the same would happen if we can get Crouch without having to trade.
Getting Crouch and taking our first to the draft, which means we can still use next years first on a trade, is a win for us.

Crouch will make a big difference to our side, but I’m so meh about recruiting him.
Undoubtedly I’ll fire up when our midfield starts turning games, I guess I was looking for more outside flash than inside grunt.

I'm not trolling either, but I honestly question the intelligence of anyone who is invested in the tabloid media to the point that they entertain it.
What's more, I wouldn't support any such thing for StKilda either.

when we get crouch done lets get snake baker over to the saints,an evening with crossleys mum and a seat on his own for the north game,in case he still secretly barracks for them & doesnt want us knowing,should get the deal done
If both parties agreed to cease the contract he would become one. I am not seriously suggesting it, just find it outrageous that these part timers are attracting top 10 picks.
Certainly not advocating for it. I was against in in 89 for the Dogs, Hawks and Melbourne and Fitzroy

So hopefully Saints and Crows have come to an agreement on what compo for pick 2 looks like.
Win/Win.

Compensation, if it remains in the future, should really only come in after the bottom 10 teams have each had their first pick.
