was talking to a legit ITK today and asked if Matty Parker was heading back to play WAFL next year apparently Matty Parker has had a bit of interest from another victorian AFL club but its a bit of a long shot but is still more likely to stay in Victoria than return home potentially playing VFL ...

Feeling a whole lot of meh about Phillips' delisting.

Any other year he probably would have been given another 2 years contract. Would have hung around without really doing much before being delisted with little to no fanfare. At least this way he gets his own Facebook post and a bunch of nuffies saying it's unfair.

He seems like a genuinely great person off the field and I'm sure he'll do more with his life than I'll ever bother to achieve, but the AFL is a cut throat business and he just never seemed likely to take the necessary leap.

We delisted Parker once we knew Higgins had committed to come to us. Philips delisted and possible Sav and Lonie gone tells me we have 1 or 2 DFAs lined up. With 1st list lodgement due by the end of this week, I think we might have someone lined up.
