Huge fan of the Frawley move. Great depth in a position where we lack it. Unfortunately it's an area where we haven't had any young guys push up. We really missed Carlisle in the Tigers final, Frawley is a great back up and may even push to take his spot. McKernan also addresses our other clear depth weakness, evident when we didn't have a second ruck in the Tigers game after Ryder went down.

Two very astute DFA signings.

Agree wholeheartedly. Frawley still has good football in him. It is also an opportunity for him to "coach' our still relatively young backline. Carlisle is 29 and Geary but then the next oldest is Doogs @ 25. I reckon it is a fantastic. His manager said he was excited with the opportunity and stated to him "I am not going there to make up the numbers"

As you say lewdogs, a really astute recruiting move with both Mckernan, a good foot soldier, and Frawley who still has good football in him.

We just have to be a little careful for list balance, Paddy, Frawley, Gears McKernan all put up our list age, but can't think of many others over 26.

Rekon we sign Frawley and that Gallucci is the "under 25".

Hugh Goddard coming back would be funny though.

I read somewhere some big knocks on Gallucci's attitude and preparation. Can't remember where

As above Chips is a done deal
Jake was shopped and no one wanted him , is on a very cheap one year deal
Ed Phillips was the only player they didn't want to delist out of the group that went , its all about salary cap.
They are stoked to get Higgins and Crouch and are extremely bullish about next year .
To get players like Frawley and Mckernan as our back-up options is very smart thinking by the club. Seems like we are taking steps to ensure we aren't in a depleted position like we were this year heading into the Richmond final.

Got to feel for Phillips where it sounds like he would have got a contract in any other year but this one. Just unfortunate timing to come out of contract in this Covid year.

My Ratts source , Not from some friend of my second cousins brothers wife

PS , Chips didn't retire from Hawthorn he was pushed
So you claim to a direct line to Ratts and now you know what's going on at the Hawks too hey.

I'm pretty sure the flamingo broke this weeks ago and this is old news.

(am l doing this right?)

Hey, W2L you don't like my ITK news, I will just share it only with Risky via PM from now on.

Disagree on your second line, in my opinion the posters isn't like Coops, but is very aware of the troll he is doing. Has been doing it at a different forum for years and has been banned there by Simon a number of times.

If he gets triggered and reacts to any of my posts, that is something for him to consider.

As for shooting bambi, I prefer to shoot the mother ;)
but if you don't share then i don't see anything.

I have no idea what's going on at Hawthorn but i do know Chips didnt retire , anyway you can come back when its announced and say sorry then :D

PS , you ever put Flamingo and me in the same basket i will hunt you down and cover you in fairy floss

Strengths
Passing accuracy
Kicking
High reach
Vertical leap

Weaknesses
As identified he goes missing in games. Does one thing then waits for the next thing.

Value
? Who knows , the hope is this is the kick in the backside he needs. I cant see anything more than a 3rd rounder if he doesnt come on and that might be generous.

George, I hope this is OK to Quote, it is about info why Gallucci was possibly delisted.

There was an article with this post talking about him not doing the preparation over summer pre season.

Seems like he is a bit lazy and it showed on the field.

Doubt any of these will be at the club in 2022 - Paddy, Frawley, Gears , McKernan which means we need to find a key position player and a ruck - not easy to do.

That's fine, the rule really only applies if you are taking the piss out of someone from another board. As if they see it and react it just becomes an annoying clean up job for us.

We delisted Parker once we knew Higgins had committed to come to us. Philips delisted and possible Sav and Lonie gone tells me we have 1 or 2 DFAs lined up. With 1st list lodgement due by the end of this week, I think we might have someone lined up.
Geelong and Richmond still have to de-list some more players, if they want to bring any players into there squad , so it will be good to see who they move on.

one year deal with a trigger for a second year if he plays a certain number of games

Fair enough but I'd find it hard to push myself to train in that environment as well. He's got the talent.

My biggest concern would be how his body has pulled up from the Achilles injury. If he's lost his leap then look elsewhere.

If we bring Kyle into the club I will microwave my membership.....

Does Oscar McDonald make sense?

he's only 24, DFA, stuck behind May and Lever etc
