Aha to be fair my post was partly satire. MG is fine, although I believe he’s been hit and miss since the Carlisle news. Still ITK though. I’m pretty stavro is either MG’s alt or just parrots what MG says, like Johnny does with news from the media.
Oh **** me.

Your an idiot.

Pretty sure I gave you blokes a lot of correct info before anyone else in the last few weeks - just like I have over the last few years.

But now I parrot MG or I am his alter ego.

Harsh call on Phillips.

I was under the impression we'd opened up enough spots for a couple of draftees and potentially Frawley.
Does this indicate we had to make room for someone else...?

Cities are good to visit

Too right .. We made the choice to relocate to Ballarat when we moved from NSW, on the basis of Melbourne being close enough (for footy, and the handful of things we don't have in this city - plus my employer has an office here, for the rare occasions I actually need to go in), but for the more relaxed lifestyle of being in a population of ~100,000 rather than 5,000,000 ... the last 6 months has confirmed the benefits of being away from the highest density areas.

Love going in to Melbourne - it's a great city when it's bustling - but give me the country life most of the time.

Unfortunately both Daicos boys are guns & they have very good academy kid this year.
I agree they’re lucky in that regard. But they’re not going to have immediate imapacts. Sidebottom and pendles getting older. What free agents or uncontracted players are going to want to go there in the next 2-3years? They’ve basically shown the footy world that they’re not loyal to their players, and that contracts mean nothing. If they don’t want you they’ll get rid of you.

I think with Cameron it's the laidback and quiet country lifestyle rather than necessarily anonymity. I imagine Geelong is like a fishbowl when it comes to their footy team.

That said, it's probably fair to say he won't be living in the city of Geelong or the suburbs.

I’m starting to wonder whether Collingwoods issues this draft period may have been related to missing out on Cameron due to cap space.

Do you live in the city in Ballarat or on the out skirts

Feel for Phillips and he played some solid footy at times, but not many players make it if they're clearly outside the best 22 after four years on a list. Lacked the versatility to play anywhere other than a wing. Would be great for him if he gets another shot somewhere but I'd be surprised.

At least he had a purple patch against Geelong where he kicked 2 goals in 2 minutes. That memory will stay with him for life.

I'm not right in the CBD, but not right out in the newest suburbs - I can basically hear a little bit of traffic noise if the wind blows from certain directions, but it's quiet 95% of the time.

Suits me fine ... I grew up in 80's Brisbane (when it was much smaller and less complex than today), did a bit of work in a smaller (20,000) town and got a taste for less hustle-and-bustle, but moved back to Brisbane, and then on to Sydney to build my career - took me nearly a year to get remotely comfortable driving anywhere near the CBD there.

still think, if we can, we should be paying him out!
He may have a trigger for his 3rd year and can be delisted end of 2021.
Regardless, paying out contracts is damaging to the Salary Cap position as not only does the payout fall in a single year, but you also take on a draftee to fill the spot.
Dmac might only be on 200k per year, but the cost of dumping him now would be close to 500K, so can see that it won't work.
