Well I mean if you categorise it as a delisting the same as any other, then I guess you would come to that conclusion.Loyalty lol!
They delisted him!
Twomey has finally listed to ol’ DQ and put Sheldrick on his phantom draft.I saw Bazzo (a little bit) in a WAFL colts game a few months ago. He played forward & kicked a couple of goals.
In the limited amount I saw, he didn’t quite have the wow factor that McD and DGB had last year, but evidently has a good deal of talent.
I was more impressed with Angus Sheldrick. An absolute midfield bull - think Ollie Wines. Not sure if he’s highly rated by AFL scouts, but I was certainly impressed & thought he’s the type we need in a post JPK world.
I'm actually surprised after people mentioned the likes of Talia without a hint of sarcasm, that no-one has mentioned Thompson "would be a handy pick up for no cost".Have we drafted anyone yet?

Yeah, 35 is not a great number for us. Probably not going to take him at 31 since we seem to be keen on other mids in the 30s (Warner, Dittmar). Might not last til 39.Twomey has finally listed to ol’ DQ and put Sheldrick on his phantom draft.
Not happy with the inference he might go to Geelong though.

I mean it's definitely a win for North, probably goes against some unwritten rules, but GC did give them the opportunity (and unwritten rules aren't rules). Win for Greenwood materially too, if it's more money, earlier chance at setting up a post-career life in Melbourne, more off field potential. There are 38+ players on your list…you don’t delist one of your top 5. I’m sorry but you deserve it if you do. Well done North

Thompson would be perfect for us. 200 cm, 100kg of mature, defend-first KPD. Unfortunately hasn't played a game since 2018 due to injuries so he was a good one for them to delist at least.
Well you're entitled to your opinion, I just think there's more context than 'it's just dumb'.The only one that's coming off bad is the dumb club who delisted a bloke coming in the top 5 in the B and F...
It would be like us delisting Lloyd!
It is just so dumb

Lloyd comparison is a fair stretch in both value and club situation, but ok.
Wouldn't be against it actually worth a gamble from all reports is over his injuries
Nah, not for a guy who hasn't' played in that long. Naismith II
There really is no comparison between Lloyd at the Swans in our current situation, and Greenwood at the Suns in their current and at least short-term future situation (where he wouldn't be around beyond that).Actually it's not as both are in the top 5 in the B and F. You just don't do it.
I'm just more disappointed we aren't benefiting from the Suns stupidity!
Re: Greenwood.
B-grader switches from perennial duds to wooden spooners.
*yawn*
I wonder if we might look at a mature age option with one of our picks this year? A kinda left field, Tim Kelly-esque pick.. I suspect given the lack of exposure to the 18 year olds, some older options from the state leagues might be more appealing than usual.
Surely that's what the rookie draft is for
Not if we already have players in mind for the draft, like Paddy McCartin or Anderson. Not saying it will happen, I just reckon if they really like someone in the WAFL/SANFL/VFL and they're more confident in that player than any of the 18 year old prospects left at one of our picks, I could see them going that route.

If we're picking up McCartin and hopefully Anderson gets to rookie draft, don't know if we'll be taking any others.Surely that's what the rookie draft is for
