Reckon Dawson will stay

If we end up trading Stephens back home, we might not need to get someone from the Crows. They will be looking to ship McAsey to Victoria so could do a three way trade for a VIC club's assets.

I wish they made the contract amounts public I’m really interested in our cap situation.

I mean surely it’s tight with Parker, Dawson and Stephens still not signed.

I think we will make Reid and Hewett sweat until the 11th hour, both are best 22 but much less likely to get poached.

surely Reid frees up $500k min as well as some Hewett money seeing as he qualifys as a RFA……

also buddy on $500k less helps….

sign McCartin to help KPD down back and Lipinski for mid depth and I’m pretty happy.

maybe a good project ruck couldn’t hurt…..but they are almost impossible to find.

Heeney can hand some over
Or get traded.

Want someone to pretend to take a mark up the line and kick a goal a game? Well I have the guy at half the price. And already on the list!!

Shame - apparently one is the "face" of the Swans. Both dedicated forwards now although one can ruck.

Lets see how this works out.

The face of the Swans apparently won us a game once all by himself Buddy like.....or maybe not, I can't recall it nor can anyone else if they are serious and not pathetic sycophants.

By the way both can play. Both are exceptional at their best. I don't "HATE" either of them whatever the **** the kiddies mean by that. One is horribly overpriced for output. One is simply overpriced but tall so that explains it.

Choices matter.

I want a A grade key post defender. Top of the tree stuff. And I can trade one them and probably get that player. Or a complete bull mid - and probably get it. Only one can be traded for it though. And not some bullshit made up pie in the sky stuff. Real world stuff.

Do it in a heartbeat and trade the face. Can't get it for the tall guy. Laughably simple business decision.

Ummmm, ahhh, I know this isn't going to convince anyone, but...

I don't know how to say this, but you've seen Heeney play? Right?
I won't argue about form, but he is one of the most impressive players I've seen when on, and I'm more than willing to take a down patch in the season. He was incredible early on in the year and has hit a road bump, but if we trade out our highest potential player (imo, at least top 3 for potential) we're nuts.

Back him in and watch him play his best.

There were also at least 3 flies that I saw that resulted in goals, he's our main pack marker, and when he's on he takes the impossible marks.

IMO, at this point in the list the LAST thing you want to do is trade out solid 22 players. Even Aliir Aliir was a very suspect decision. Even a player like Cunningham, Wicks, or Fox, who are our more replaceable players, would be massive losses in the context of our list.

Re Heeney, I reckon his ankle and hand injuries are affecting his output. Unhappily the way he plays lends himself to injury. He is not tradable.

Aside from Dawson, Hewett, Stephens and Parker etc I think there would be some interest in Fox. Like many I was relieved when Fox was rookied after being delisted.

IMO his form has been great and he just seems a great clubman. He also sets club standards in fitness and running.

Unhappily there is a market for skilled, hard running general defenders. I expect he would be on minimal chips and hope Ramps, Lloyd and Cunningham shout him his coffees. For me Fox deserves to be on the main list and get a fair pay upgrade.

I think Fox has to be on the main list as he has been on the rookie list for too long. Given his age he'll probably get offered a 2-3 year contract

Agreed but isn't this technically his first year on the rookie list as he was delisted and re-rookied?
