Yes exactly right. In the end only the boy himself can decide to make the most of his talent. For all we know he may be quite happy up there, being a circus act, being selfish and getting big $$$.
If he was prepared dial things back for a while be a role player, learn to do team things, he could be anything. Who of us would know though what he wants to achieve

.. Izaks been underwhelming.. I wouldn’t give up our current pick for him. I’d rather go to this years draft and get a genuine mid…I don’t hate the Crouches either (I quite like Matt actually, not so much Brad anymore)…
I just find it amusing that you make those kind of comments about Izak and yet defend a selfish one way runner like Brad..

That loss might have prevented north getting a PP as the AFL can see they have been quite competitive with a win here and a draw v GWS. So maybe look at this result as a nil nil draw from our perspective

I'd be very annoyed if we gave up our first for Rankine. He hasn't shown anything to suggest he is worth a top 10 pick in a trade. We traded Charlie Cameron for pick 12 and he had shown much more playing a similar role. I think at best Rankine would be worth a late first/early second rounder.

If he can learn a bit of team play and discipline he could still be anything. I've seen no evidence of him wanting to do that at any level.

More likely than not, probably depends if he plays Nationals and gets over his meniscus issue and puts up some solid performances for the Sandy Dragons closer to the draft. He's definitely top 10 quality.
