This was Nick Murray training in the video they put up yesterday, Ayce Taylor does seem very much well liked amongst the group and was in a few of the players socials over the last month or so too, so both are still around

is that in doubt?

So you don't know. OK then.

Kelly says we have two training and need to make a decision by early March. You declare that the decision is already made - like you know it is. But you don't.
Maybe we haven't decided yet? Maybe we genuinely are giving them both a go. Maybe we won't decide until early march...

lol. And your auskick coach had an open mind too

how naive would you have to be to think they don’t know?

moon is made of green cheese type naive

Perfect rookie selection - potential high ceiling, but obviously high risk he makes it... but if we get back to a quality development program, we can get back to developing quality long term players from rookies. Charlie Cameron was our last quality rookie player.
ROB ??

would we not be better off holding 1 list spot open for the mid season draft if they do delist Stengle? - there is likely going to be some really quality kids available
True, only wondering if that's I their thoughts. Assuming the kid is any good

I don't see the club paying out 2 years of Stengle's contract to delist him. Surely the smart play is to give him the support his management and the aflpa are requesting the club gives him and awarding him an opportunity to prove he can be a valuable contributor. Apparently the sticking point is that the club is reluctant to give him the support which is needed above what the average player on our list is given.

Perhaps if the club had not disenfranchised a club champion in Andrew McLeod he would have been an ideal mentor to help the lad.

Yet, we drafted Rowe before Newchurch... ;)

But he may of made this statement before it was known Stengle was on the way out.

Rowie at odds with talent ID. But, we don't know at what point we'd have matched a Newchurch bid, all we know is none came so we got him less than nothing. Rowie's context, from memory, was that his kid had worked very hard and he was proud, but he's limited, whereas Newchurch has a much higher ceiling.

I believe weve already reached out to Bunji since the leadership change

A bit of focus on Newchurch in the footage, I think this kids ceiling is really high, gonna be interesting watching his development
He seems like the kind of player you could shut down for 3 and a half quarters. But in the 15 minute period he gets away from you he wins the game for the other team.

Hi folks,
Couldn't see anywhere to post this. What are your expectations for Darcy Fogarty this season?
I was very keen on him in his draft year. Has he been held back by your older KP's.
Cheers.

Well if he is ever going to take his game to the next level it will be this year as he is playing for another contract.

What support does anyone really believe Stengle needs? He’s barely done anything worth worrying about

Stengle needs support with someone showing him how not to get caught doing dumb shit

I think we should get Dane Swan on board for the role

Swanny also performed to an extremely high level on the field as well as off.

That there is the difference. Guys like he and Cousins, even Franklin are able to separate their off field fun from their profession.

Will be happy with 6 or 7 wins as long as the future are prioritised.
The problem is that we need to hit the jackpot with some elite midfield talent. 6-7 wins most likely gets us out of that range. We ideally have a bottom 2 finish this year and then in 2022 start moving upwards.

FTR I do think we will also end up around that 6 win mark.

Four to five wins is normally last. Six wins may be second to third last.

He's been held back by a combination of poor coaching (i.e. poor forward structures and disconnect between midfield/forwards resulting in poor delivery) and an appalling lack of fitness, in roughly 50/50 apportionment.

We now have a competent coaching panel, and he's reportedly looking much fitter and achieving PBs in the time trials. In 2021 he will have no more excuses.

Probably a fair assessment of Fog. He’s not the only talented player to struggle in our environment in the past couple of years and for good reason.

Also sits at a slightly awkward height, being the shorter end for a KPF, however something his talent should likely overcome. Fitness though is certainly the key. The issue isn’t so much what he does in the contest or with the footy, that’s generally quite high end, its simply getting to enough contests to actually make a difference.

Similar to Walker in that, the struggle is getting the ball into his hands enough, once there, is generally extremely damaging.

Stengle already has a current teammate who has done a phenomenal job of not getting caught given everyone I run into is well aware of his nasal decongestion issues. Pity he didn't pass on any tips to Stengle.
