Same with Petrevski-Seaton as well...... Dow, O'Brien etc. They know how to ruin careers.
Yes, they had a tendency to push those guys into the forward line. Only really had Cripps in the middle and the rest was a bit of a raffle apart from Walsh arriving on the scene.

It pains me to think what Pelchen would’ve done under the circumstances. Tom Lee & Tom Hickey trades his blue print.
“The spreadsheet says we should downgrade pick 9 to 26, 42 & 68... then use those picks to land melksham, Sam day and take 68 to the draft.”

Perhaps we should have gone after Jon Ceglar. Wouldn’t have cost much and would’ve been a good option for the next two years whilst Max Heath is developing. I’m not sure what the club saw in Xerri. Bullet dodged in my opinion.
Issue with Ceglar is at 30, I doubt he'd want to spend the year behind Ryder/Marshall. At Geelong, he should be first ruck.

May well be the play (a type like that) at the end of next year. Fill the gap without losing momentum and not cost much.

Good to see Gags won't act in desperation either. He had his limit for what we would offer and stuck to it.
Gallagher has a blueprint that he sticks to when it comes to player salaries.
Ross
Billings
just two resignings that are on considerably less than previously

It would extend to dp's as he knows their currency and what the long term plans are involving (have to say in code so any lurking Fold Coast chairman doesn't have a coronary ) Len Kong.

Do we have a record of all the 'almost trades' we've done in previous years?

I feel like Laverde was one. Add Xerri to the list. Maybe Draper?

Marchbank, Karl Amon, Scrimshaw?
